Chapter 29

Axel placed a blind fold over my eyes.

" Aw I can't see, how come " I say frowning.

" It's a surprise come on " he lifts me off my feet and carries me in bridal position till we stop. It was very cold out here like 45 degrees I was shivering. When my blind fold came off reveling a fire with a blanket laid out and a few to the side with a basket. it was by the stream my grandfather took me to. I smile lightly feel as if I could cry this was the nicest thing any one has done fore me.

" It's amazing " I say looking alt him as he was already looking at me watching my expression. I hug him tightly and our guns clank to gather.

" let's put these away " I say pulling my gun out and then reaching for his.

" Yeah " he exhales as I pull the gun out of his pants setting them on to the blanket.

" Come on sit down " he says pulling me down. I sit up leaning on him close to the fire. That's why he was splitting wood and the blankets he was in the room grabbing them from the closet.

He leaned up grabbing the basket which had the flat brown bread and soup in there with a bottle of wine wonder were he got that.

" I can't believe you did all this for me " looking at him as he pulls out food.

He feeds me soup as we wrap up on the blanket he was so warm. We finished out dinner and just talked about little stuff from our pasts.

" Can I tell you something Riley " I looking into his sad eyes I wanted to do anything to make that look go away. I kiss his cheek.

" Anything " I say in his ear. He exhales.

He began to tell me about his child good and how his dad beat him and told he was worthless and ugly and no one will love him. That made me want to cry because I loved him and he meant so much to me.

" And when you say you love me you just don't know what that means to me " he says looking almost as if he was going to cry.

" I do now, and I love you so much " I say as he kisses my lips in a deep and loving, kind and soft way that made my heart melt.

The sun starts setting as we continue kissing in the woods.

' Crunch ' I didn't want to but had to pull back from him.

" What was that?" I say breathing heavy in his ear.

" I don't know but we should probably head back " he says standing up giving me a hand I take it jumping up on my tip toes giving him one last longing kiss.

' Crunch-crunch ' I hear it again I quickly reach down for my gun and so does Axel it became silent I put my gun in my pants and we packed everything away putting the blankets in the basket and putting out the fire.

' Agh ' I heard from near by I pull my gun out and spin around.

" Come on " he says basket in one hand gun gun in other as we locked arms.

I hear the crunching at a fast rate now combing behind me I turn around aim and shoot with out a second though and it hit the zombie right between the eyes dead in the ground why was it all the way out here I was getting worried.

" Let's go " he says running with me.

We reach the house out of breath. I can't believe that freak was so close. And I killed it. Another one for Riley.

" I can't believe that " I say out of breath hands on my knees on the front porch.

Axel just nods. Out of breath as well. I reached in and gave him a long hug squeezing him tightly he calm and wrap around me as I listen to the beating of his heart.

After a while I pull back and we walk in.

" Riley Axel come quick " Sam yells looking over from the dinning room table with every one huddled around.

As I get closer I see Isaac with the radio in the middle and I hear noises coming from it and then words.

" Err... east coast warming the infection has spread from New York to Crrr..... as low as South Carolina please stay in you homes don't I repeat the east coast is to stay in side unless you have to. They will begin sending help out by Tuesday until then we appreciate your patients. This is the end of the radio broadcast. " The man on the radio finishes and it's static in the air for a few minutes.

"They appreciate our freakin patients what the hell " I scream stomping to my room.

Like what's going on why aren't they helping till like two weeks after I saw my first one the and there coming to help in 5 days like they should have figured something out a while ago. What's up with this freaking government. The east coast is almost takin over and they don't give a shit.

" Riley, babe come back out " I hear Axel on the other side of the locked door.

" Give me a sec " I huff I'm just so pissed off right now.

I take a few deep breaths and get off of my bed cracking the door open letting out another breath. His face just calms me down looking at him is really keeping me sane.

" You alright " he says looking in to my eyes deeply.

" I am now " I give him a slight smile I'm calmed but not all right I just don't want him to worry.

I put my arms around his waist and squeeze him tightly as his arm come around me. He plants a kiss on the top of my head.

" You want to lay down?" he says in my ear.

I just non and we walk back in my room and I lock the door.

" I'm going to put my pjs on " I say pulling back and walking towards the dresser. I open a draw and pull out my guns in roses bagging t shirt and the boxers I stole from Axel. i set my gun on the table.

" Should we tell them about the zombie " I whisper to Axel staring at me from across the room wearing boxers and no shirt. I keep staring though I don't now if he answered I got distracted by his shirtless self.

" You need a napkin for that drool " he says laugh throwing his shirts and pants in a pile in the floor.

" Yeah " I nod and turn away blushing.

I slide out of my leggings pick them up and fold them putting them away. Then I pull my shirt off really slow cause I now he's watching. I smile while my backs to him. I fold it up and put it away. I stand there in my bra and undies and turn around.

" You need a napkin " I say in a mocking voice he gives me a look like a slight smile but evil and walks over to me pining me between him and the dresser.

" Yes " his breath hot on my neck. I don't know how to reply to that he seems so serious it was so hot. The room felt like it was on fire I could hardly breath. Then he kissed me pushing me against the dresser. I let out a moan through his lips and he smiles. He moves now my neck. His ear now by my mouth as I whisper "I'm ready for us " he pulls away and looks at me in the eyes as I nod he smiles and picks me up this time my legs around him and carries me to the bed.
