This is it, the Apocalypse

Chapter 18

I wake up all fuzzy my eyes blurred, my head thumping, and my throat is dry. Not to mention my side feels sore. I look over and see Sky on the floor playing solitaire.

" Guess you couldn't what for me. Huh?"

" Nope " she smiles up at me then continuing her game it's later in the afternoon now maybe almost evening.

I slowly move my legs off the side of the bed wincing a little.

" Grandma said you can't get up " she says all sassy.

" We'll I've been cooped up in this room to long so I'm getting up don't be a snitch " I say lifting off the bed putting the weight on my feet I wobble a little and wince as pain shouts up my side were my wound was. I push through though slowly walk to my closet I grab a coat and hand gun from my bag and stuck it in the back of my pants then make my way to the door I peek my head out I see no one. I slip out of my room and slowly using the wall to get to the front door which was not far from my room I take another look around before opening the door.

I look out side on to my grandmothers farm it's quiet and beautiful. I don't see any one that would see me and slowly walk down the stairs off the porch. 'Ow' I wince as I step on to each step and inch my way over to the side of the house trying to get to the swing I played on as a kid with my sister it was a bench swing with two chains that dangled from a big oak tree.

I was breathing heavily using the side of the house to hold my self up I pause for a minute to catch my breath my side is burning I grab in to it but push through. I reach the swing and hop on to it lightly swinging back and forth. Feeling the cool wind in my hair I feel free like nothing had happened like every thing was good I close my eyes for a second taking in the atmosphere.

" Riley! What are you doing? " my eyes flash open and fix upon Axel standing there all sweaty and dirt on his face.

" I needed to get out of there " I say stopping the swing.

He marches over to me. Picking me up off the swing cradling me his arms look stronger then I remember.

" I'm not a baby you know " I say folding my arms as he walks me up the stairs to the porch.

" I don't want to see you hurt again " he says looking down at me seriously.

" You know you look super hot right now " I say smiling as we walk through the from door see Sky making dinner.

" Told ya! " she yells setting up dinner.

We walk in to my room and he sets me on the bed and begins to walk out.

" Wait " I say grabbing his hand pulling him back to me.

" What?" he says annoyed.

I pull him down to sit next to me on the bed.

" What's up with you?" I say rubbing his hand.

" It just hurt me seeing you up knowing that you could get hurt again " he says looking down.

" Hey look at me " I say placing my hand under his chin forcing him to look at me. " I'm never going to leave you " I say sitting up moving closer to him. He wraps an arm around my waist putting his hand on my shoulder. Pulling me closer to him.

" I hope not " his says before I plunge my lips on to his kissing him whole heartedly my chest feels on fire I don't want to pull away from kissing him but I feel like I need to tell him something before we continue on. I pulled away and he pouts I smile.

" God, I love you " then he smiles really big and so do I. I'm really happy right now.

" I love you too " he says before kissing me again starting were we stopped.
