Chapter 17

A month echoes in my head I feel dizzy and start throwing up everywhere no stop I look at Axel who sits there laughing at me I'm choking on my vomit and my sister walks in blood dripping from her body.

I jolt up I the air breathing super heavy. Then screaming out at the pain in my side waking up a sleeping Axel next to me.

"It was a dream" I say to my self.

"Your up" he says hugging my lightly.

"How long was I out???" Loud enough to almost be a yell.

" Just a couple of days " he says brushing my hair behind my ear and feeling my forehead.

I sign in relief.

" You are burning up let me get your grandma I'll be right back" he jumps up and turns running out of the small room.

We made it to grandmas. Is this a dream too. I pinch my self. Nope I'm awake I'm do glad.

My Grandma walks in with Sky trailing behind I give her a big smile though there is extreme pain in my side.

" Nice to see you awake sweetie " she says putting a hand on my forehead.

" Let's get you some food and medicine" she turns around and leaves the room. Sky comes running up to me but stops unsure to hug me I open my arms and she dives in for a hug.

" I missed you " I says rubbing her hair.

"Me too I was so scared" she says letting go of me and sitting on to my bed. I smile at her.

"We're every mine else?" I say hoping all my boys come in to visit.

" Working " Axel says.

" Working?" I ask giving him my full attention.

" Yeah around the farm getting good and supply's and stuff " he says crossing his arms and leaning against the wall.

" That's great " I say getting an uncomfortable look from Axel.

" Skyler Ann I need your help in here " my grandma yells from the other room.

" I'll be right back " she gets up and walks out.

" Can we talk "Axel says pushing off the wall walking towards me.

" Yeah what's up?" I say worried about what he will say next.

" Uh... Why did you leave me? " he asks looking down and sad that was the one question I didn't want to answer because right now I didn't know the answer I thought I did but I didn't.

" Sit down " I say patting the bed. He gets closer to me and sits down. I sit up as much as I can wincing slightly. He grabs my hand.

" Take it easy on your self " he says helping me sit up. I take my other hand and put it behind his neck and look him in the eyes pulling him close to me our foreheads are touching. Steady Riley you can do this just speak what's on your mind you love this boy for crying out loud. Love? "I don't know" I think to my self but end up saying it aloud and instead of waiting for his reply I kiss him pulling him closer to me pushing my lips hard against his.

" What the...?" Sky says walking in on us.

" Sorry " I pull away and leaves the room were both red in the face.

She walks the rest of the way in with a tray of food and a side of pills for dessert.

" What was that?"she says placing the tray in my lap. On there is a a price of flat brown bread with a bowl of some soup that looks foreign to me. I eat a small spoonful of it and it's surprisingly delicious.

" I don't know what you talking about " I say like a smart ass because she always gets so mad.

She exhales deeply and rolls her eyes. " You know what I'm talking about you and Axel all.." she makes out with the air mocking me.

" I just like him that all " I say picking up the bread and biting into in now as good as the soup it was really dry and harder to chew but I softened it in the rest of the soup. I look up at her and her face is all lighten up and smiling.

She begins to giggle.

" So what's been going on sense I've been out " I ask finishing the rest if the food.

" Nothing really, no sign of mom and dad. But Isaac's trying to find a way to contact help he brought the stuff with him but it don't work... yet"

I look down at the tray abs there's 3 pills on there two big tan pills and 1 small red pill I take them all with a big swig of the water that was on my night stand.

" He probably will he's so smart "

" Want to do something like play cards?" she says getting up.

" Yeah" I says signing. My eyes begin to get real heavy and I lay back in my bed.

Those pills must me night-night pills and they worked fast. I'm asleep before Sky even gets back.
