This is it, the Apocalypse

Chapter 12

I'm so freakin frustrated with Axel he was scary back there, I don't know how I feel with him protecting me. I ran out of his room in to the living room.

" What was that about?" Brice asks walking up to me.

" Oh nothing it's under control now" I say signing and crossing my arms.

" You sure " he says looking in to my eyes grabbing on to my elbows rubbing my arms with his thumbs.

" Yeah " I say smiling. He was such a good friend.

I stand on my tip toes and hug him. I whisper in to his ear.

" We'll talk later, ok " I say realizing him as he gives me a slight nod.

" Hey why don't we get your rooms all set up " I say to Dametre and Willow. They nod there heads and grab there stuff we walk up stairs to the second floor and there are two more bed rooms one next to me and Sky's room that shared the bathroom in between it was exactly the same two beds even the decorations were the same pale walls with balconies and nautical decorations. One across the hall with a queen bed with two windows facing the front of the house with curtains to the floor also following the nautical theme.

I showed Brice to the big one and Willow and Dametre to the one next to ours.

They got all settled in.

" Hey y'all want something to eat " I ask sticking my head in to the kids room.

They both reply " yes please ".

I walk them down stairs and into the kitchen pulling out some cans of soup and opening them up.

" Food?" Brice says coming down stairs.

I laugh as I fix three bowls of tomato soup for our new guests.

They toss back the soup in there bowls so I pull out some crackers which they eat as we'll.

" When's the last time you guys ate? " they all laugh and realize how fast they ate.

" When's the last time you ate? " Brice says looking at me worried.

" I'm not hungry. So... " I say trying to change the subject ever sense that zombie I killed in the back yard I've lost my appetite.

Axel walks in giving me a glare jumping on top on the counter and grabs an apple and takes a deep bite in to it. Isaac and Sam are sitting on the floor playing cards.

I look at the clock which reads 5 o'clock. I yawn I'm tired I haven't gotten a lot of sleep lately.

" Hey I'm going to lay down for a few minutes make your self confutable " I say looking at Sky and Willow talking she smiles at me and I walk up stairs and lay my head on the pillow starring at the ceiling my eyes flutter until I fall asleep.

DREAM

I wake up in a field with the sun shining on me. I'm surrounded by wild flowers except around me. The sun is being blocked in front of me I look up to see Axel standing there with a pleasant smile holding out his hand. I grab it and he helps me up then he puts his hands around my waist I stair into his beautiful eyes it perfect.

" I love you " Axel says pulling me close to him. I just look into his eyes then he presses his lips to mine I just stand there kissing him he starts kissing me roughly and I try to push away put he pushes harder hurting my lips.

" Ahhhh!!" I here Sky scream as I see here standing across from me in the field but there's 5 zombies surrounding her closing in on her I try to push away but he squeezes me tight I thrash in his arms trying to break free.

They fulling close in on here I here her scream a little while longer the tears flowing from my face as Axel pushes me to the ground getting on top of me kissing me again I try to scream out to her but I can't my voice gets caught. The screaming from her stops she's gone I shout out freeing my self from Axel by kneeing him in the stomach then scrambling to my feet running towards what's left of Sky I scream and cry.

DREAM OVER

'Knock, knock' 'knock, knock'

I jolt up I'm soaked in tears and sweat and my hearts racing.

" Riley?" the voice behind the door says.

I wipe my tears away and yet and compose my self to the best I can.

" Come in " I say as they open the door it's Brice walking in with a bowl of chicken noodle soup and some crackers.

" Hey how you feeling? " he asks he says coming over and sitting on the edge of my bed.

" I'm fine what do you mean " we'll you've been out all for almost 24 hours.

" What?!?" I say freaking out it felt like minutes.

" Shhh, you need to eat you look like a toothpick" he says handing me the bowl and spoon

" I'm not... " I say before getting cut off.

" I don't care you need to eat " he says to me as I lift the spoon of soup to my mouth and force it in.

" I'm not leaving till all of this is gone " he says with a pack of crackers in his hands.

I finish the soup and start on the crackers.

" So do you want to talk " he asks now laying on Sky's bed looking at me.

" Yeah " I say finishing my cracker in my mouth.

" I think we should leave "
