I walked over to Noah and Stacey with a bright smile on my face. "Noah, it's so great to see you. Did you finally manage to get rid of that ugly herpes?"
At first, he was in shock but after a few seconds he decided to play along. "Do you mean the one you gave me? It's almost gone but I heard it's still highly contagious."
Stacey was looking at us full of disgust. Luckily, after everything she had just heard, she ran away from Noah as fast as possible.
"Thanks, I guess. But couldn't you think of a less disgusting excuse?" He asked laughing uncomfortably.
"Well, if you want my help you'll have to deal with my methods." I chuckled in response.
"Alright, I see... And it was definitely worth the look on her face." Noah shook his head, still smiling brightly. "I'm glad you still came to the party."
"Yeah, I hope Mark will be that happy to see me." I forced a smile.
"I'm sure he will. Otherwise he's a real idiot. I mean look at you..." His comment made me blush. I was used to Cole or Colin checking me out but Noah wasn't really the type of guy that gave a lot of compliments.
I tried to change the subject before he would notice. "Talking about Mark have you seen him around by any chance?"
"He's right over there with Joe and Liam." I gave Noah a gentle hug and walked over to them.
"Look who decided to come anyway." Joe said sarcastically.
"Chloe, I thought you didn't wanna come." Mark didn't seem to be too happy to see me.
"Well, if you don't want her here, I would be glad to take her upstairs." Joe bit his lip excessively as he looked at me. I just shook my head knowing that Mark wouldn't sense the sarcasm.
"Shut up, idiot. She's still my girlfriend." He spat out.
"And that's why I'm here. I think I was being a little harsh with you earlier... Wanna go grab a drink?" I stared at him expectantly.
"Sure. I guess I'll see you guys later", he said turning towards his friends.
When we finally made it to the kitchen, I chugged down a cup of beer all at once. "Wow, slow there. What are you doing?"
"I thought we could do something we haven't done in a long time." I fixed his collar with one hand while grabbing a bottle of champagne with the other one. Mark looked at me with pure excitement in his eyes.
"How could I say no to that?" He took my hand and led me upstairs. After opening a few doors only to find drunk teenagers on the beds, we finally found an empty room.
Mark sat down on the bed and looked at me while I was closing the door. "So what exactly did you have in mind?" He licked his lips as I turned around to face him.
"Why don't we start with something like that?" I crawled onto his lab bringing my face closer to his. His breath softly touched my skin and I closed my eyes.
Seconds later his lips were pressed on mine. I slid my tongue into his open mouth giving in to my cravings. Slowly, his mouth traveled down to my neck.
Oh, Noah, I thought to myself. Wait, did I just say Noah? What was happening? I couldn't think of Noah in this very moment but I couldn't stop either... The way he had looked at me before just wouldn't stop crossing my mind.
Mark definitely wouldn't forgive me if I pushed him away again. So I felt like I had to go along with it.
My mind was wandering off while I unbuttoned Mark's shirt and pushed him all the way onto the bed.

Minutes later, we were laying next to each other in Joe's silk sheets, both of us completely out of breath. "What has gotten into you? I don't remember you being that dominant." Mark stated breaking the silence.
"I don't know", I lied. Of course I knew what or who the reason was...
"Anyway," he gave me a peck on the forehead before turning away to get dressed. "I should get back to the guys." Without saying another word he took his stuff and left through the door.
For seconds, I laid there alone, completely disturbed by what had just happened. I thought all of this would make things better. I wanted Mark to be the sweet, romantic boyfriend he used to be. But instead, he left me completely naked in someone else's bed after I gave him everything he wanted. Was he planning on breaking up with me?
Only the thought of losing Mark forever brought tears to my eyes. I remembered all the great times we had together but all of a sudden, they were nothing more than a blur.
I tried to wipe away the tears with the blanket covering my body only to leave black stains of mascara on the silken fabric.
Out of nowhere, someone ripped the door open. I blinked into the bright corridor trying to see the person in it.
"Chloe, what the hell happened to you?" He stepped closer staring into my swollen eyes.
"Noah, please just leave." My voice was shaky.
"No! Why are you crying? Did someone take advantage of you?" Noah sat down next to me, his jaw tightened.
"It's nothing. I just need some time alone, please." After everything he was the last person I wanted to talk to.
"Of course something is bothering you. I can't leave you alone just like that. Please, tell me what's going on."
There was only one way to get Noah to leave without starting a fight or telling him the truth. "Noah, I need to get dressed. Alone!"
The colors drained from his face. "I... I didn't know that you were..." Uncomfortably, he stood back up and walked out of the room. "If you ever decide that you want to talk about it, you know where to find me."
When Noah had finally closed the door behind him, I stood up and put my clothes back on. Carefully, I sneaked into the closest bathroom.
As I looked at myself in the mirror, my first reaction was to look away again. My eyes were swollen and the mascara was running down my cheeks. While washing my face I suddenly heard someone scream, then a whole crowd shouting, "Fight, fight, fight!"
That was the worst part about Highschool parties. Two drunk idiots always managed to get into a fight. Since I didn't really care who they were or what they were fighting about, I took my time cleaning myself up until I looked passable again.
But right after leaving the bathroom, I started to hear sirens from afar. Was the police coming to shut this party down? Worries immediately filled my head as I had been drinking alcohol at the age of eighteen.
I stumbled down the stairs as fast as possible. On my way I bumped into a few drunk teenagers before leaving through the back door. I sigh of relief escaped my mouth when fresh air started to fill my lungs.
Walking home, I thought about all the events that had happened this evening and I came to a realization. The only way I could get out of this mess was to find out what Mark was hiding from me.
