When I came home from school, I directly strolled to the couch and turned on the TV. While watching "Modern Family", my eyelids were getting heavier and heavier until I fell asleep.

The ringtone of my phone pulled me back to reality. As I looked around, I saw that the sun had already set but my parents didn't seem to be home yet. The screen of my phone lit up again drawing my attention to it. I had received a message from an unknown number:
Un: Hey
Me: Who is this?
Un: Don't worry about that ;)
Are you alone right now?Me: Seriously, if you don't tell me who you are, I'll just block you...
Un: It's me, Mark. No need to freak out
Me: Nice try but do you really think I don't have his number saved?
After hitting send, I blocked the number. I definitely wasn't in the mood for stupid games.
In the very same moment, the doorbell rang. I reassured myself that it had to be a coincidence but my heart wasn't quite convinced.
I carefully walked up to the window next to our door and pushed the curtains aside. A sigh of relief escaped my mouth when I saw Mark standing on our front porch.
"Hey, beautiful," he said as I opened the door. A bright smile appeared on his face.
"Hey, Prince Charming, what are you doing here? I thought you had to practice for your big match tomorrow."
He walked inside and placed his hands on my cheeks. "As if that was going to keep me from seeing you..." His eyes traveled down to my lips before we both leaned in for a kiss. I ran my hands through his hair enjoying every second of it. But then Mark's phone started ringing. He immediately pulled away and took it out of his pocket, as if he was expecting an important call.
"Who is it?" I asked curiously when Mark still hadn't decided whether to answer the call. He looked up shaking his head.
"Oh it's no one... just the coach." Mark ran his hand through his hair which I knew to be a nervous habit of his. "I should probably head home if you don't mind. I need to get some rest before the game."
"Yeah, of course." I wasn't sure what had suddenly gotten into him but there was no point in asking. Sooner or later he would talk to me about it for sure. Well, at least I hoped so.
Without even saying goodbye he turned around and left. The door fell into its lock right in front of my face.
After a few seconds of utter confusion, I walked up to the window and watched him curiously. Mark was talking on the phone looking around as if someone was following him. Why would he act so suspiciously if he was just talking to his coach? There had to be something he was hiding from me.
When I walked upstairs my phone lit up again:
Un: Hey
Me: Who are you?
Un: Do you really want to have this conversation all over again?
Me: But I blocked you...
Un: You blocked one number...
So what's going on with your boyfriend? Why was he storming out of your house like that?Me: How would you know? Are you watching me?
My heart was beating out of my chest. I waited for minutes but there was no answer. That's when I stormed back downstairs and ripped the front door open. I looked into each direction but the street was completely empty.

It was the day of Mark's big football match. To be honest, I didn't know much about football, which is why I had no idea what made this game so important. Mark had just told me that a lot of talent scouts would be there.
Aileen was already waiting for me in the second row. She had reserved two seats with a perfect view onto the field. "Hey, sweetie, are you ready for Mark's big game?"
"Of course, I am." I said showing her the sign I had made the day before.
She smiled brightly. "Wow, that's what I call a supportive girlfriend."
"Always trying my best..."
But then, her smile started to fade away. "Since the game hasn't started yet, do you think I could talk to you in private for a second?"
"Yes, for sure, is anything wrong?" I placed my hand on her shoulder worried what could be so important that she had to tell me in private.
But we didn't get around to spending some time alone because seconds later, Colin sat down beside me as if it was the most natural thing to do. "Hey girls," he smirked at us.
"Colin, we need a minute alone." Aileen and I stood up from our seats.
"But the game is just about to start." Unfortunately, he was right. The players were already walking onto the field. First there were Mark and Noah as co captains, followed by Travis, Cole, Joe, Liam and a few guys I didn't know.
"Can we talk later?" I whispered in Aileen's direction.
"Yes, no problem." She smiled but I could tell that there was something truly bothering her.
