Chapter 7

Liberty and Iggy stayed the night last night but Jared left at 2:00am.

I slowly walked downstairs. "Is she talking yet?" I asked Iggy. Liberty hadn't talked all night. We've been trying to get her to.

"No she's still silent." Iggy informed me.

"Lib, can you please tell us what happened?" I asked politely.

She just sat there shaking.

"Whoever killed her mom broke her." Iggy said full if anger.

"We need to find out who did it" I said sitting down.

"Speaking of finding, where's Joseph?" Iggy asked.

"Oh he was staying at a friends house" I lied.

"Alana I'm not stupid." Iggy laughed.

"Okay so he met up with Reece" I smiled

Iggy's smile went to a death stare. "He met up with freaking Reece!" Is he crazy!" She yelled.

"Hey, if anyone's gonna win that fight it's Joseph" I said.

"Well let me remind you that the last time they had that fight. Reece one." She told me.

I tried forgetting that night.

"Tell you what, if you stay here and watch Liberty and Hannah, since my moms out of town, I will go find Joseph." I smiled and walked out the door and got in my car.

Joseph's POV

I woke up in a jail cell. Wow, I never saw this one comin.

"Get up." Reece yelled.

"Am I supost to listen to you now?" I sassed. Yes a boy can sass too. Don't hate.

"Boy you better watch your mouth. I'm not afraid to kill you" he smirked.

"Says the one with a two pack" I whispered under my breath.

"What did you say?" He asked me picking me up by my neck choking me half to death.

"Nnnn otth ing." I struggled saying. He slammed me down on the ground.

"Ya know I've murdered before and gotten away with it." He smiled.

"What?! Who?" I asked.

"Woah woah woah Jo, not your concern....but I'll tell you to torcher you with it." He smiled.

"I swear if you hurt my fam-" I started.

"Relax relax'! Not your family just someone close" he smirked.

I hopped up. "Reece who." I said my face getting red as all the anger inside of me began to build up.

"Let's just say Liberty can't live without her mom" he laughed.

"Reece! You killed her mother" I shouted.

"Bingo" he smiled.

I burst out of the jail cell by knocking the two guys who were guarding my door out.

I heard Reece running after me. Before I knew it, somebody grabbed me by my hair and then I blacked out again.

Alana's POV

I drove past this old jail and saw somebody dragging a familiar body. Ha looks a lot like Joseph.

Wait.

I quickly slammed the brake and ran into the jail.

"Joseph?" I yelled.

"Joseph" I voice behind me mocked.

"Where is he?" I turned around meeting the face of Reece.

"Asleep" he smiled

"How long will he be asleep? As in will be ever wake up?" I yelled.

"Relax! Man you Jensens really get into it!" He laughed.

He brought me back to a dark room and turned on the light.

I saw Joseph laying there out of it. I kneeled beside him. "Joseph" I yelled. "Joseph" I screamed shaking him and crying. He wasn't moving.

I went to feel a pulse.

Nothing.

"What did you do to him?" I asked balling my eyes out.

"Wait, he has a pulse" he said starting to egg concerned.

"No he doesn't! Feel for yourself!" I screamed.

Reece reached down and his eyes started tearing up.

"Why are you crying?" I asked him.

"I'm not," he grew a smile. "He deserves to die" and with that he left me in the room alone with my maybe dead brother.

He has 2 black eyes, bruised ribs that are probably broken, his arm bone is bent weird and everything else.

I quickly looked to see if anyone was in the hallway. I tried to silence my crying.

I took the bed Joseph was laying on cause it has wheels or else, ha we wouldn't be going anywhere.

I successfully snuck Joseph out to my car and quickly drove to the hospital. I'm not sure how I did that but I did.

When I got to the hospital they quickly and aggressively took him to a room.

Please live Joseph.

Please live.

When I got home I slowly I mean very slowly, I could barely walk, went inside.

"Hey! - what's wrong?" Iggy's smile faded.

"He's gone, he he's g gon ne." I said sliding down in the door.

Iggy looked down. "Where is he?" Se asked starting to cry.

"The hospital" I whispered trying to talk.

"Don't do anything stupid Alana" okay?" Iggy told me.

I nodded my head.

I started feeling lightheaded and slowly fell over.

"Alana" I heard in a distance.

"Alana?"
