Chapter 16

Alana's POV

We got home late last night so I kinda slept in.

"Morning dear" Rachel told me.

"Morning" I smiled.

"Let's go to the mall" Sarah said.

We finally got to the mall and went inside.

"Ooo Alana, let's go to vanity."

"Okay" I smiled.

Jared tugged on my arm.

"Mmmm, no girl stores." he whined.

"Jared" I gave him a death stare.

"Let's go" he said.

We walked into Vanity and right away Liberty ran to the sandals. "Eeeeek these are so cute" she screamed.

"Don't go anywhere." I told Jared.

He nodded.

"Alana look, superman underwear!" Sarah screamed.

We got weird looks from everybody in the store.

I died laughing as I walked over to her.

"Oops" she said. "Too big of a superman fan." she smiled.

Jared's POV

I just stood in the middle of the store.

THIS. IS. AWKWARD.

Buzz buzz. Finally! something to save me from this.

Seriously a text from mom.

Mom: Jared get here now PLease.

Um okay.

"Alana" I yelled.

She turned her head. Gosh she's a beauty.

"Huh?" she asked.

"We need to go" I said.

"Why?" Sarah asked.

"It's mom" Jared said.

We hurried outside.

We finally got home and hurried inside.

As soon as we opened the door I knew Alana was gonna flip.

Alana's POV

We opened the door and I saw a face I never wanted to see.

"Hey there, pretty thing" Reece smirked.

I started to walk for him but Jared grabbed me to stop me.

I tried to squirm out but I couldn't get out of his grip.

"I can't believe you would pick this guy over me" Reece sighed.

"Rather have him than a douche like you" I sassed.

"Wait you dated him?" Jared asked.

"Sophomore year" I said.

"That had to be the best-" Reece started.

"Not of my life" I interrupted him.

"Where's my mother" Jared asked.

"In her bedroom." Reece said

Sarah ran upstairs.

Jared let go of me.

"Why do you do this Reece?" I asked him.

He started to tear up.

He then caught himself and wiped his eyes. "For the fun of it baby" he smiled.

"Don't call me that."

I grabbed the lamp off the table and ran after him with it.

"YOU KILLED MY BROTHER!" I yelled as I hit the back of his head with the lamp.

He grabbed me and through me across the room.

That made Jared mad.

He ran over to him and punched him about 12 times until Reece punched him and through him across the room.

"Sissy?" Hannah asked,

"Go upstairs now!" I yelled at her

I tried to get up but there was too much pain in my foot so I just sat there.

Jared got back up and ran over to him.

Reece grabbed a knife from the table and went to stab Jared with it but Jared dodged it.

Hannah was sitting in a corner crying.

"Go upstairs" I yelled again.

She ran to go upstairs in between Jared and Reece. As soon as Reece went to stab Jared he was sure he had him.

Jared stood there waiting for the pain to come but nothing happened.

Jared and Reece stared at each other for a moment and looked down.

I looked up off the ground to see what was going on.

"No!" I screamed as I got up limping to my 5 year old stabbed sister.

I made my way over to her.

"No wake up! Wake up Hannah. This can't be happening." I cried.

Sarah came down with her parents and Nina.

"Oh my gosh" Liberty said as she rushed to my side.

I say there literally screaming and crying.

Reece ran out the door.

Jared sat on the floor beside me as I tried to get Hannah to wake up.

He grabbed my arm.

"No" I screamed.

I looks up and saw a tear roll down his cheek.

"She's gone Alana. Hannah's gone."
