Chapter 21

After Reece left yesterday morning we had a normal day.

.......but today. Not so much.

"Were you crying yesterday Alana?" Jared asked.

"Uh no. Why?" I said.

"I walked downstairs and you had tear stains all over your cheeks" he said suspiciously.

"My eyes were burning so I put eye drops in them. And well, I guess it ran out" I laughed.

"Alana. I know you. Tell me the truth" he said.

"Look this was yesterday. If you were gonna ask me about this then why didn't you ask me yesterday?" I said sternly.

"I don't know but I'm asking you now so answer the question!" He shouted.

"Woah Jared calm down" Liberty said as she walked over to him and rubbed his back.

I opened my mouth. "Woah woah what is this?! Your giving him a free hand back rub! He's my boyfriend!" I yelled at her.

"Oh yeah sorry" she looked down removing her hand.

Jared looked at her and smirked.

"Oh my gosh" I said.

"What?" Jared smiled at me.

"Ugg" I said and walked upstairs.

IGGYS POV

"Ugg" I heard Alana growl as she walked up the stairs.

What in the world was that for?

I heard the door to her room slam. Ouch.

I was looking at a picture of me and Joseph when we were little. Alana was supost to be in it but I cut her out after she tried to kill me.

I miss him. He's not gone though.

He probably won't wake up. Yeah he will.

"Oh shut up!" I yelled at myself.

I looked around hoping nobody heard. Well looks like nobody did.

ALANAS POV

Whatever, I'm not gonna let Jared get to me. I got enough crap on my plate right now.

Ring ring.

Really.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Hi. Is this miss Alana Jensen?" A woman asked.

"Uh yes who is this?" I said.

"This is a nurse from the hospital. Your brother needs to have the brain surgery done today if you choose to do it." She informed me.

"Today?" I asked her.

"Yes. His doctor would like you to be here at noon" she said.

"Um okay I'll be there" I said.

I sat my phone beside me. Wow. Now is when I get to choose to kill my brother or to do an operation that could kill him.

"Hey can I come in?" Iggy knocked on my bedroom door.

"Ya" I said.

"Were you talking to someone?" She asked.

"You sound like Jared" I sighed.

She gave me a weird look.

"Don't ask. Anyway, yes I was. It was a nurse from the hospital. Joseph's doctor wants to meet up with me in 10 minutes at the hospital." I looked down.

"Why? And can I come?" She asked.

"We have to do the brain surgery today if we're gonna do it at all. And yes. Yes you can come." I smiled.

"Okay. Let's go" Iggy said.

(AT THE HOSPITAL)

"Hi! Glad you came!" The doctor said as he sat down.

"Hey" I said.

"Okay. So let's cut to the chase. Are we doing the brain surgery or not?" He asked.

I looked over at Iggy and back to the doctor. I nodded my head yes.

"Great we'll get started then" he said and got up and walked to Joseph's room.

"Are you sure you wanna do this? You can always change your mind" Iggy said.

"If I don't do this he's deffinently dead. And if I do do this then there's a chance he might live" I sighed.

Just then I got a text from Jared.

Jared: hey baby I'm sorry for what happened this morning. Come home.

Me: no. I'm not coming home.

Jared: did I hurt you that bad?

Me: Jared my brothers having brain surgery! So cut me some slack.

(6 HOURS LATER)

"Man I'm tired" iggy yawned.

"Okay, we're done. He should be awake tomorrow if-" he began but was stopped by a nurse.

"Hurry! Hurry!" She screamed.

The doctor ran out and went into Joseph's room.

Me and Iggy stood up.

"A, what's going on?" Iggy said.

"I- I don't know" I said.

I looked into the room and saw the doctor take his hat off. What is he doing.

He started crying.

Oh no. No no no no

I ran into the room.

"Alana!" Iggy yelled following me.

"Ma'am you're not allowed in here" a nurse said trying to push me out.

I broke through her arms.

I saw the heart monitor flat.

Flat.

"A" Iggy said.

"Get her out of here!" Another nurse told Iggy.

"Comon A lets go" Iggy said.

I walked over to Joseph.

"Wake up" I said.

"GET OUT OF THIS BED! GOSH YOU CANT LEAVE ME GET UP! JOSEPH!" I cried.

Two nurses and the doctor came over and grabbed my arms. They started pulling me out of the room.

"JOSEPH WAKE UP!" I screamed.

I looked over at Iggy who was balling her eyes out and looking at me.

"JOSPEH!" I screamed.
