Chapter 28

"She's missing" Reece said

We all looked at each other.

"Well" Liberty stumbled to say. "I'm gonna go to my bedroom and go to sleep and worry about this the next day." yup. Drunk.

"What do we do?" I asked.

"There's nothing we can do tonight" Joseph said.

"So we just leave her out there? Joseph she could be dying!" I said.

"I know that Alana, but we can worry about this tomorrow" he said.

"Wow" I said.

"A, I need a night to think about what we're gonna do" he said. he hugged me. "we're gonna get her back" he said and walked upstairs.

I sat on the couch and sighed.

"You guys don't mind if I stay the night right?" Cole said.

"Sure, find a room" Reece said.

Cole walked upstairs.

I sighed again.

Reece laughed.

"Reece this is not funny! My best friend is out there and probably dead!" I yelled.

"Okay okay I'm sorry" he rubbed my back. "but you need to stop worrying so much, you're never gonna find her that way" he said.

"I can't just leave her out there" I said.

"I know she'll be alive when we find her" Reece smiled.

"How do you know that" I said.

"Because I know A" he said as he laid down on the couch.

I got up.

"You're not gonna sleep in your room?" I asked him.

"Uh, I let Cole crash there for tonight" he smiled.

"Okay" I said and walked upstairs.

"Goodnight" he said.

I laid in my bed.

I texted sarah.

Me: hey, I know this is gonna sound crazy but I'm freaking out. Iggy's missing. literally she's gone. she's not at the party and she's not here at home, so I wanna file a missing persons report.

Sarah🙈: Alana. Calm down.

Me: sarah I can't... My best friend is out there!

Sarah🙈: I can't file that report until it's been at least two days.

Me: Sarah! You know me! Can't you do this for me!

Sarah🙈: you know I want to, but I'd get fired. I'm sorry. I'll talk with you tomorrow. I'll be at you're house around ten. get everyone downstairs to talk with me.

Me: okay thank you so much!!

Sarah🙈: anything for you.

THANK GOODNESS.

(Next morning)

We were all sitting at the table eating breakfast.

"Gosh when will she be here?!" Joseph said in anger.

Then there was a knock on the door.

I flung some syrup on him be cause he got mad lol.

"Right now" I said and got up and opened the door.

She smiled.

I let her in.

"Thank you for coming" I said.

"Anything for this family" she said and sat at the table.

Liberty came down the stairs rubbing her head.

"I feel horrible" she said.

We laughed.

"So about Iggy?" Sarah said.

"We took her to the party last night and a few hours after we got there we decided to take a walk. Iggy wasn't with us." I said.

"We did run into her in the woods" Joseph said.

"Right" I pointed to him. "she was like drunk or something. then we left and she wasn't with us" I finished.

"So how do you know she wasn't at the party when you left?" Sarah said.

"We called and asked Jason" Cole said.

Sarah's face became suspicious. "Jason?" she said.

I nodded.

"But he wouldn't" Liberty said.

"No you're probably right. It most likely wasn't him" sarah said.

It was dead silent.

"Tell ya what, I will talk to my boss about this, and see what I can do" she said.

"Oh should we try to call her?" Liberty asked.

"No, not yet" sarah said and walked out.

Oh gosh tomorrow's gonna be a big day.
