Chapter 24

I woke up to my phone buzzing....... Again.

Reece: hey

Me: uh, hey

Reece: this May not be the right thing to do lol but can I come over

Me: well why?

Reece: I don't know if he'll accept it, but I wanna talk things out with Joseph.

Me: okay, when will you be here

Reece: maybe two hours. I just wanted to make sure that it was okay with you

Me: oh it is. See ya later.

Wow. Maybe he really has changed.

I got up and dug clothes out of my suitcase.

What to wear lol.

"Alana!" I heard Joseph say from downstairs.

I walked downstairs "what?"

Joseph was holding a note.

"Joseph what is that?" I asked him.

"He won't tell me" Iggy pouted.

"Babe, I was waiting until everybody got down here" he said to her.

"We'll tell us what it says then" Iggy sternly said.

"Iggs, don't be-" he started.

"Joseph!" I interrupted him.

" what?!" He yelled.

"Read the stupid note!" I hand gestured.

"Fine. It says, I know who you are but you don't know me. You know who I am but I don't know you. You've seen me before. I think. You're all worthless. Joseph, you should have stayed dead. -unknown" he said.

We all were in deep thought.

"Who the heck is unknown?" Liberty said .

"My guess is Reece" Iggy said.

"ITS NOT REECE!" Me and Joseph said in sinc.

Ok.

Then there was a knock on the door.

I opened it and saw Reece.

" uh, come in" I swallowed.

He came in and I shut the door.

Iggy, Joseph, and Liberty just stared at him with their mouths open.

"Hi" he waved to everybody.

"What are you doing here?" Iggy asked.

"You have no right to be here" Liberty said.

"How did you even get here. You know what get out!" Iggy shouted.

"I gave him the directions" I said quietly.

Iggy walked over to me and looked me in the eyes.

"Do you know what he did to your brother. Your beloved brother." She said.

"Oh give it a rest Iggy. Of course I know what he did. I'm not blind!" I yelled.

"Well you seem blind. You seem like you don't even care about your brother." She shouted.

"You didn't just say that." I said.

"Oh I did. I bet you don't care" she said.

"Iggy" Joseph said.

"WHAT JOSEPH! YOUR SISTER TRIED TO KILL HERSELF TWO TIMES! I BET SHE FAKED THAT!" She said.

"Yeah Iggy because I would kill myself on accident" I said.

" do what you want, BUT LEAVE ME OUT OF IT" she yelled as she ran upstairs.

"Maybe I should go" Reece pointed to the door.

"No stay" Liberty said.

We all gave her a weird look.

"I'm sorry. I feel like you're actually coming around" she smiled.

We all sat at the table.

"You're back" Reece looked at Joseph.

Joseph didn't say anything .

"I'm sorry man. I really am. It should have been me in that coma. And if I was. I shouldn't have woke up. I'm glad you're awake. I really am. And to be honest, it seemed lonely without you. We used to be best friends. And because of one stupid mistake I did that made your sister break up with me, I tried to kill you. Joseph I really am sorry" he said tearing up.

We all sat there in silence until Joseph got up, walked to the other side if the table, and gave Reece a hug.

"I forgive you man" he said.

(2 HOURS LATER)

Reece was sitting on my bed and I started unpacking.

"You need help?" He asked.

"No you don't have to" I smiled.

He got up walked over to me and grabbed me arm. " I wanna help" he leaned in.

I backed away "uh yeah, you can make my bed" I laughed and took my arm out of his grip.

I walked over to my closet. I left him standing by my window.

Lol. I just dodged Reece's kiss.

I turned around to see what he was doing.

My bed was completely made. Perfectly.

I opened my mouth.

" does it look okay?" Reece said from behind me.

"Woah" I said as I turned around quickly, my face almost touching his. "Um, it's great" I said.

"Need anything else?" He asked. Are faces stills close.

"Sleep" I backed away.

"Here's the thing, I can't leave." He said.

I gave him a 'you're not staying in my bedroom' look.

It was 1:00 am.

"My parents kicked me out." He said.

"So up you wanna live here?" I asked him.

"Well I guess these people don't like me so I'll go find a place" he said and started walking out.

"Reece wait" I stopped him.

He turned around.

"I like you. Joseph likes you. Liberty likes you. Don't worry about Iggy. She'll come around." I smiled.

He smiled back.

"There's a spare bedroom at the end of the hall. That can be yours" I said.

"So I can live here?" He asked.

"Yeah. But where's your stuff?" I asked him.

"In that bag I brought in downstairs" he laughed.

"Cool." I said and got under my covers.

He walked out.

"Oh and Alana" his head popped back in.

"Goodnight" he smiled and walked back out.
