Chapter 18

Mekayla's P.O.V

I'm awoken once again by Matt but this time I get up. I take a quick shower and dress in high waisted ripped black shorts, a black off the shoulder shirt, my black VANS and I put on my bracelets. Eh I'm feeling all black today (ok I mean clothing wise and the shirt I'm talking about is the shirt Jenn wore when she was wearing all black)

I walk out of the bathroom to see Matt sitting in a chair next to the door and Connor still asleep in the bed. I have to admit I have a small crush on Connor he just makes me feel safe, it's weird because he's my best friends dad.

Ok I have 35 minutes till we go on stage and I have to admit I'm freaking out because not only am I going on stage but I'm also singing. I'm doing a duet with Jacob and I'm doing a solo. For the duet we will sing Say Something by A Great Big World ft. Christina Agulara (sorry if that's spelt wrong) and for the solo I'll be singing Fix You by Coldplay

"Hey Mek wanna go meet up with everyone else?" Matt asks bringing me out of my thoughts

"Uh sure"

We walk down to this huge room were everyone else was. I spot Jacob and walk over to him.

"Hey Jacob wanna go rehearse before we have to perform?" I ask

"Yeah"

Before we leave to go to the stage I announce it to everyone that we are leaving. Then we are off to the convention center (ok so I have no idea where they did it at so I just made that up)

Once we arrive we head straight to the stage.

"Ok we have 20 minutes to practice you do know what song we're singing right?" I ask

"Yeah isn't it Say Something?"

"Yes ok let's practice"

We practice our song a couple times and I practice mine and before I knew it, it was time for the show.

So we all went on stage first and danced around and made vines for the first 15 minutes.

"Ok guys it's time for us to answer a few questions you guys have" Carter says

"Ok you the girl in the Cameron Dallas hoodie with the pink hair" Cameron says

"Is Mekayla gonna sing?" I guess she watches my videos

"Yeah she is" he replies before handing the mic off to Brent

"Ok you with the SnapBack red shirt and blonde hair" he says pointing to the girl

"Can you do the mmmmhh thing?" She asks shyly

"Of course. Mmmmmmhhhhh" he does it and the crowd went crazy

They answered a few more questions then it was time for the singers to sing. Shawn went first he sang summertime sadness and the Cameron Dallas song, then Taylor and Dillon went on and sang Buckwild, then the Jacks went on and sang there songs. Then it was time for me and Jacob to go.

We walked up on stage, Jacob sat down next to me with his guitar and started to strum the cords. I soon began to sing.
