Chapter 19

Mekayla's P.O.V

I wake up the next morning to Matt shaking me.

"Whaaaaaaat?" I groan

"We're going to IHOP for breakfast to start off out brother- sister day so come on"

I groan again before getting up and walking over to my suitcase. I pick out light wash ripped skinny jeans with a black tanktop, Cameron Dallas hoodie and my black combat boots. I apply the usual make up (black eyeliner, and mascara)

I braid my long brown hair off to the side and put of my sunglasses

"Ready to go?" I ask

"Yeah come on"

We exit the hotel and head to the nearest IHOP which was only 7 minutes away so we decided to walk.

"Ya know you haven't really gotten to know the boys" Matt says outta nowhere

"Well I got to know Jacob a little better yesterday and I met Cameron in Virginia and Nash when we first got here and I have at least spoken to all the guys" I say as we walk in to the restaurant

"How many?" The lady at the counter asks

"Just two" Matt answers

"Ok right this way. Follow me"

We follow her to a booth.

"Ok your server will be right with you" she leaves to do who knows what.

"So what are we doing today?" I ask

"Well I was thinking we could explore a little then head down the beach to watch the sunset like we use to before ya know- mom and dad" he said

"Yeah I think that'll be fun"

I know Matt didn't want to bring up mom and dad's death because it was a touchy subject.

"Hi I'll be your server today my names Amy, can I start you off with something to drink?"

"Yes we would both like a coffee please" I answer

"Ok and that comes with a water too. Is that ok?"

"Yes ma'am" I answer again

"Ok that will be right out. Are you ready to order?"

"Yes I'll have the double decker pancakes with blueberries" I say (ok I have no idea if that's a think at IHOP so just go with it)

"And I'll have the same thing but with strawberries" Matt says

"Ok that'll be right out" Amy says while taking our menus

For the most part breakfast was silent. We ate our food and may I say it was delicious.

We are now walking around downtown. I spot a little shop with a bunch of hoodies and sweatshirts

"Matt come on we're going in here!" I yell

The name of the shop is 'Janes sweatshirts and more' hmm interesting name I bet it took her a while to come up with it. Note to sarcasm

I pick out a cat hoodie, an adventure time sweatshirt, a black hoodie that says ¿Weird?, a blue hoodie that has a gold cross on it, and a black hoodie that says 'MKTO' on it in gold

Ok I may have a slight obsession with hoodies.

I payed for then and the price essentially to bad. It was $76.32

We continue walking for a few more hours wandering into random stores then I started to get hungry.

"Matttttttt I'm hungrrrrrryy" I whine

"Well I heard that they have a Five Guys close to where we are, wanna go?"

"YESSSSS I love Five Guys!!"

We go and both order a hamburger with fries.i was so hungry I literally are my burger in 2 minutes.

After we finished the sun was starting to set so we made our way to the beach.

"Wow I missed this sight" I say as I admire the sun setting into the ocean

"Me too"

Little did I know this would be one of me last sunsets I'd see on the beach.

A/N: little but of foreshadowing there.
