Chapter 26

Mekayla's P.O.V

I heard footsteps in the room and froze. Is he here? My thoughts were answered when I heard a voice talk.

"I know I left my phone in here. Now where could it be? Ah there it is! Ok Rob I'm on my way down"

Thank God! It was just the cop. I let out a sigh of relief and turn to Sam.

"You think it's safe?" I ask

"Um I'm not sure.... How about I go look and come back to let you know?" He suggests. I hesitate but then agree. He nods and slides the door open before crawling out.

It's been 30 minutes and he Sam hasn't returned. I'm starting to get worried. I slowly crawl out of the door and out from under Connor's bed.

I cautiously walk into the hallway, no sign of anyone. I then check every bedroom. Again empty, I slowly and quietly head downstairs when I hear laughing coming from the living room.

I walk down faster and run into the living room to see Sam sitting on the couch with Dom.

"Sam what the hell?!" I ask

"Wha- ohhhh yeah sport I forgot. Oh and there's no sign of your dad" he says.

"Really?! Ya know what I really don't care. I'm going home then I'm going to the mall. Tell the boys when they get back" I answer before walking out the door

I have decided to change my look. So I go to my closet and pull out every pice of clothing that isn't black, dark red, grey, and navy blue. I pull out all my dresses, skirts and flowey tops. I also grab all my shoes except my vans and converse. I then put all the clothes and shoes that I took out of my closet into a big black bag. Well all that's going to Good Will.

Now I only have 4 black shirts, 2 gray shirts, one red shirt, 3 blue shirts, 3 black pairs of skinny jeans, 2 black pairs if shorts, a black NorthFace Jacket, a pair of vans and 2 pairs of converse.

Well I'm going to the mall. I grab my stash of money that I've been saving up for forever. It's a total of $4,500. I slip on my vans and grab the keys to my car.

Once I get to mall I go to 'Hair Masters' to change up my look a bit.

I go in and ask for what I want. I sit and wait for the girl to be ready.

After she's done with my hair I turn around and look in the mirror. I love it!

I got the hair cut that people would describe as an 'emo hair cut' and I dyed my hair a bright red. I thank the girl and pay her before walking out.

I step I to Hot Topic and get a few shirts. I go to a few more stores before I stop at the food court.

I eat then continue my shopping. My favorite shirt that I got says 'Bish Please' it's a black tanktop that has the letters in silver.

I go to a few more stores before I'm done. I got 40 shirts in black, red, gray, and blue. I got 25 pairs of skinny jeans in a variety of colors. I got a couple sets of suspenders. I got 10 pairs of shorts. A couple new pairs of vans and converse and I got some more makeup (just eyeliner and mascara)

When I'm about to leave I see a store that sells bracelets and since I have money left I go in. I get a couple band brackets and one that has a white skull on it. I buy them and finally leave the mall.

I get home and put everything in my closet and drawers. Once that's done I go downstairs to find no one home well ok then. Oh well I still need to do some stuff. I grab the keys again and drive to the nearest tattoo and piercing place.
