Chapter 21

Connor's P.O.V

The day has finally come. The day I have been dreading. The day I go back to California and leave Mekayla.

WAIT! I just had an idea, what if her and Matt move out to Cali. I would just bring Mek but her and Matt really can't move away from each other.

I have to talk to Matt. I have 3 hours before my flight leaves and he has 2 hours, so that give me plenty of time.

I head down to Matt's room and knock on the door. He answers a minute later.

"Hey Con what's up?" He asks

"Well uh I was thinking... Maybe uh you and Mekayla would like to maybe move to California?" I stutter

"Uh I don't know I'd have to talk to Mekayla, if she says yes then we'll see but I can't make any promises"

"Ok. Want me to go talk to her?" I ask

"Sure. She has been getting pretty close to you" with ghat I get up and head down to Mek's room. I know and she answers.

"Hey Con what's up?" That's creepy, her and Matt greeted me the same way.

"I'm well I was wondering if you and Matt wanted to move out to Cali, I already talked to him and he said he would have to ask you. There's a house for sale next to ours and it's pretty cheap and I can buy your guys plane ticket" I ramble

"I've always wanted to go to Cali it was getting to the point where it wasn't a want anymore it was a need!" She exclaims (A/N: @iwojo15 this is literally us 😂)

"Well ok I'll go talk to Matt again" with that I get up and head back down to Matts room and knock on the door. Once he answers I start to ramble again

"Ok she said she wanted to move there and I can buy your guys' tickets and theres a house right beside ours that's pretty cheap"

"Ok ok I guess but it'll be about a week before we can get over there we need to pack and ship the furniture"

"Ok"

* Magical Time Skip To 2 Weeks *

Mekayla's P.O.V

The past two weeks have been very chaotic (is that how you spell it, I don't know)

It's been filled with lots of packing and shipping things then flying and the unpacking and to top it off every night was that horrible nightmare which wasn't even a nightmare it was a memory, a memory of that day. One of the worst days of my life.

"We have finally finished unpacking and setting everything up" Matt says while flopping on the couch beside me.

"Finally" I say.

My phone buzzes indicating I have a text

~ TEXT MESSAGE ~

From Connor -

Hey do you and Matt want to come over and hang out?

To Connor -

Sure what time?

From Connor -

Any times fine.

To Connor -

Ok see ya in a few minutes.

From Connor -

Ok

~ END OF CONVO ~

I set my phone down and look at Matt.

"Come on we're going to the O2L house" I say before quickly running upstairs and changing and throwing on my VANs

I run back downstairs and see Matt with his shoes on waiting by the door.

We walk over to the O2L house and I use the key that they gave me. I open the door and shout

"HONEY IM HOME!"

Connor greets us first. He bro hugs Matt then comes to me and hugs me but before he releases me from the hug he whispers something in my ear. He said

"Meet me upstairs in my room"

I nod and head upstairs waiting for him to come up too. I sit on his bed.

Five minutes later he comes in and has a nervous look on his face. Hmmmm I wonder why?

"Hey Con you ok?" I ask

"Uh yeah um I've been wanting to ask you something"

(A/N: I was gonna end this chapter here but I'm not gonna be mean)

"What is it?" I ask

"Um will you uh be my girlfriend?" He stutters awe.

"Of course I will" I say. Yeah it's a little weird because he's my best friends dad but it's not like he's so much older than me only 4 years and I mean Jc's dating Lia so.

His lips on mine brings me back to reality.

Matt's P.O.V

Once Mekayla was upstairs Connor turned to me.

"Hey man can I ask you something?"

"Sure. What's up?"

"Well I was wondering if I could ask out Mekayla?" He seems nervous. I would be too

"Well I've seen the way she looks at you and she does seem to be happier when your around. So as long as she's happy than I'm ok with it. Just be careful she's fragile. She gets hurt easily. She's had a rough past so just don't break her heart. Or I will break you got it?" I finish my lecture

"Yes sir!" He says than runs up stairs.

Now that I think about it when ever I see her with Connor she's always smiling, it's the happiest I've seen her since Mom and Dad died. I just really hope he doesn't hurt her.

Because I will hurt him
