Fate

The Original

This is my original first chapter of this story that I kept. There was a lot of revision throughout this story, but this is the only draft I kept.

"Is there anyone you would like to meet?" I looked up at the nurse the best I could and sighed. 

"You don't think I'm going to make it." Her face dropped into one of pity and I knew she had just confirmed it. 

"We just know that you're going to be here for a while and we want to make your stay a bit more enjoyable. Now, is there any celebrities that you think we could bring here, or any athletes you want to meet?"

I thought for a minute to try and figure someone out. "There's this one group, but they're about to have a comeback and go on a world tour, so I doubt they would come all the way out here just to make some dying girl happy. But I know another group that might be able to come, if I'm lucky, but there's a lot of them."

The nurse smiled and picked up the pen on her clipboard. "Just tell me who they are and I will see what I can do."

"This is extremely unlikely, but their group name is Seventeen."
