Chapter 8. The Plan Part 1

Instead of telling us anything Jack decided to show us so right now we are hiking.

Jack and Juliet are leading and I'm walking with Sawyer.

"Anyone want to venture a guess on what Jack could be showing us in the middle nowhere" Charlie says

"I don't know....stuff" I say

"Probably secret stuff" Hurley says

"Why does everything have to be secret?" Charlie says

Jack and Juliet stop walking so I'm guessing we're here.

"A couple of nights ago Juliet came to me and told me everything, Ben sent her here to find out which of our woman are pregnant" Jack says

"So what, you guys were doing tests on us?" Kate says

"No. But that's what they wanted me to do. I've been leaving tapes at the medical station. You all heard what he said they are coming tomorrow. Sun, I'm sorry that I lied to you" Juliet says

"Well, I appreciate you honesty Jack, it doesn't explain why you brought us here" Sayid says

"Danielle!"

She steps out of the jungle.

"Show them" Jack tells her.

She moves the grass out of the way to show what looks like an explosive she but the two metal pieces together and the trees behind us blow up.

"When Juliet told me they were coming the first thing I thought was, "Where the hell are we going to hid this time?" But hiding is pointless They're are just going to keep coming back. So I went out and I found some help, for the past few days she's been bringing be dynamite from the Black Rock. For the very first time, we know exactly what they want, when they're coming to get it and they have no idea that we're going to be waiting for them. So Juliet's going to mark the tents with white rocks, just like she was told to do. But there's not going to be any pregnant woman inside there's going to be plenty on what we just used on that tree. So tomorrow night....we stop hiding. We stop running. We stop living in fear of them, because when they show up.....we're gonna blow them all to hell"

Sayid and I figure out that we can transmit a single from the phone because Danielle's distress signal is overriding the frequency. We need Danielle to tell us where the radio tower is so we can turn off her message and call for help

We tell Jack this information and Juliet informs us that the others are overriding the signal.

Someoneh as to go into the underwater station and flip the switch but its a suicide mission. Jack won't let Sayid do it.

Charlie volunteers to do it. Jack says its not important right now and that we need to focus on the others

A little while later this kid my age, arrives in a canoe.

Sayid tackles him.

"Get off him damn it!" Sawyer says

"What?! Hes one of them!" Sayid yells back

"I know! I know! Its okay! He was in the cage next me, I know this guy. What the hell are you doing here, Karl?"

"They're coming....my people"

"I'm sorry you came all this way for nothing, but we already know that" I say

"Then why are you still here?"

"Because when your people show up here tomorrow night, we are going to be ready" Sawyer says

"Tomorrow no! They're coming tonight! They're coming right now!"

We bring him to Jack so he can tell him everything.

"Suns gonna go down in a few hours, do we have enough wire yet?" Jack ask Danielle

"Not even close"

"We gotta figure out a different way to set of the dynamite"

"We shoot" I say

"We don't have enough guns, he said the ten of them are coming armed" Jack says

"Not the others, the tents. We can camouflage the dynamite next to the tents and we shoot from the tree line"

"Juliet marked three tents, that means we need three guns"

Karl gives me his "Here you can have mine too"

"I'll be your third" Danielle says

"We need your gun but your not staying here, You're gonna lead everyone to the radio tower, everyone"

"If this doesn't work we can risk losing contact with Naomi's boat so everything has to happen at the same time. Charlie still up for a swim"

"Yeah I believe I am"

"I'll going with him" Desmond says

"We need one more shooter"

"I'll do it" I say

"Hayley no" Sawyer says

"Look we all know my past, I've been using guns my whole life, I'm your best shot"

"Okay, we better get to it" Jack says

Everyone leaves

"Hayley you must be crazy if you think I'm going to let you stay here"

Hes using my real name so he must be serious

"Sawyer I have too, please"

He looks angry.

"I need you to promise me that you won't come back no matter what, okay" I tell him

"Hayley...."

"Promise me"

"There's no way I'm going to win this, right?"

"Nope"

"Fine....I promise"

Sayid told Jack he has to lead them to the radio tower so Jin will stay behind.

I see Charlie and Desmond are going to leave soon.

"Hey Charlie!"

He stand up from the boat.

"Desmond had another vision didn't he"

He nods

I feel my eyes flood with tears.

"Charlie you can't..."

"It's okay Hayley, if I do you all will get rescued"

"But..."

At this point I'm crying.

I hug him goodbye.

Then I go to hug Sawyer goodbye.
