Season 4: Chapter 1. Not Pennys Boat

Juliet is burring the bodies, Sawyer is drinking yet another Dharma beer and I'm looking out onto the ocean with Hurley.

"Did I ever tell you why winning the lotto was so horrible?"

"No, I don't believe you did"

"After I won bad things started happening to the people around me"

"Why?"

"The numbers I used were cursed"

"Mhm, how much did you win though"

"I got like 150 million dollars, now it will all be gone cause they all think I'm dead. When we get rescued and I go back, I'm gonna be free.....I want to do a cannonball. I've been walking up and down this beach every day and looking out at this water and I want to do a cannonball"

"Hurley, you want to do a cannonball? Cannonball"

He takes off his shoes and runs as fast as he can. I chuckle because of how happy he is. He makes it to a hill and he, well he cannonballs.

I see Desmond coming with the boat, Sayid, Sawyer, Juliet, and I help him bring the boat in.

"We need to get Jack we can't let him get in touch with that boat" Desmond tells us

"Easy, Scotty, everything's cool, the boats on the way" Sawyer says  

"What? On the way no? No"

"Hey wheres Charlie?" Hurley asks when he gets here.

I've been dreading that question.

"That woman she Naomi lied, the people on the boat aren't who they say they are!"  Desmond says 

"Then who are they?" I ask

"Wheres Charlie?" Hurley asks once again 

Desmond still hasn't heard him.

"I don't know! We need to get in touch with Jack now!"

"We can call him on the walkie-talkie," Juliet says

"Where is it? Get it"

"Wheres Charlie?!" Hurleys yells 

I see the tears already in Hurley and Desmond's eyes and I feel them in mine once again.

"I'm....I'm sorry, brother. I...."

I knew this was going to happen but a part of me was hoping it wasn't.

I feel the warm, salty tears fall down my checks. I almost fall to the ground when Sawyer stops me and pulls me into a tight hug and lets me cry into his shoulder.

All of us are standing next to the boat and I'm sitting next to Hurley.

"Look we gotta call the doc" Sawyer says  

"Did you listen to Desmond, Charlie wrote on his hand.." Sayid starts to say 

"Look I'm sorry he's dead. But I don't even know what the hell "not Penny's boat" means" Sawyer says 

"Calling Jack accomplishes nothing" Sayid says 

"It would accomplish warning him" Juliet says 

"It also warns the people on the freighter that we are suspicious of them and no doubt they are monitoring our communications. If we call Jack...  " Sayid says

"You know what, I got the walkie, I'm making the call"

Hurley takes the walkie out of Sawyers' hand and throws it into the ocean.

"We better get going"  Hurley says before walking away

"Going where?!" Sawyer yells

Hurley says we should go warn them. The only one reluctant in Sawyer. I grab and rifle and throw one at him and he catches it.

"Let's go"

"Here I was thinking I was gonna get a good nights sleep"

We lose Hurley for a couple minutes.

"Where the hell have you been Hugo?" Sawyer whisper-yells at him when he shows up.

"Sorry I was just...I got lost"

Locke shows up behind him.

"What are you doing here?" Sayid asks him

"I came here for the same reason you did to warn Jack about the people on that boat. I already gave it a shot, but... I figured I might have better luck with some support"

"You want my support? You can tell me why you destroyed the submarine" 

We hear something in the jungle and we all get our weapons ready.

It's everybody that went with Jack.

Everyone is reuniting and I can see the Claire is looking for Charlie.

Hurley goes to tell Claire because none of us can bear to tell her.

Out of nowhere, Jack punches Locke in the face. Jack takes Locke's gun and points it at him

"Jack" Juliet says

"You're not going to shoot me, Jack, any more then I was going to shoot..."

Jack shoots but there are no bullets.

"It's not loaded" Locke says 

He punches Locke again and Sayid and Sawyer pull him off 

"Let go of me! Do you know what he did!" Jack yells

"Yes, I know what he did!" Sayid yells back 

"All I did....all I have ever done...has been in the best interest of all of us" Locke says

"Are you insane!?"Jack yells

"I know I have a lot of explaining to do, but I never did anything to hurt you, I even risked my life to tell you there was a traitor in your midst," Locke says and he points at Juliet

"She helped up John. All you ever did was blow up every chance we had of getting off this island! You killed Noami!"

"Well, technically, he didn't kill her yet" Ben says

"Yes, he did, she just died" Kate says coming out of the jungle

"She covered for you John, and she fixed the radio phone. They're on their way."Kate says

"She didn't cover for anyone, she wants her people to come here and trust me when they do, we had better be far away from here. I'm going to where the others houses. Its the safest place on the island. If you want to live...you need to come with me"

"No one is going anywhere with you John, because they aren't crazy" Jack says

"He's not crazy. What about Charlie? Charlie went down to that place so we could all be rescued and whatever he did down there it worked but then something must've happened. I don't know why but he must've changed his mind because the last thing he did was warn us that the people on the boat are not who they said they were"  I say 

At this point, I'm crying yet again.

"So I'm not listening to you, I'm listening to my friend, I'm listening to Charlie"

First Hurley, Claire, Sawyer and I go with Locke.

Then follows Ben whos tied up and Rousseau, Alex, Carl and a few others.
