Chapter 10. The Incident Part 2

We are walking with Rose and Bernard. 

Sawyer says, "So hold on, you're telling me you've been living out in the jungle for three years, by yourselves?"

"Yep," Rose says

"Sorry, Y'all got left behind. Didn't you hear me shout, meet at the creek?"

Bernard says, "With the flaming arrows raining down around is, killing everyone we knew? Sure, we heard you."

"We spent time looking for you. I had Jin out searching the island, grid by grid."

"Yeah, we know," Rose says

"You know?" I say

"Sure, you guys all joined up the Dharma Initiative."

Sawyer says, "Well damn, I could have brought you in. Why didn't you tell us you were here?"

"Because we're retired."

We get to where Rose and Bernard have a hut and a bunch of Dharma food. Rose doesn't really care when we say Jack has a bomb. Rose tells us the barracks are five miles from here. All of us have a weapon because we don't know what we are going to run into.

We see the van with Jack, Jin, Hurley, Miles, and Sayid. They see us standing there and they stop the van. 

Jack gets out of the van and says, "What's going on, Kate?"

"Doc, we gotta talk," Sawyer says.

"You wanna talk, get in the van..."

"I ain't gettin' in the van! I need five minutes, Say what I gotta say, then you can do whatever the hell  you want." Sawyer says, "But you're gonna listen. You owe me that much Jack."

"Five minutes."

Sawyer hands me his gun and they both walk off into the jungle. I have a feeling this won't end well.

Juliet changes her mind and says that she wants Jack to blow up the island so everything resets itself.  

Sawyer is covered in blood because he decided to fight Jack.

Jack is on his way to blow up the island when Sawyer, Juliet and I run into him.

Jack walks by us and says, "See you In Los Angeles."

"James," I say 

"Yeah, Shorty" 

"If that plane lands in LA, I have no idea what I would do. I  have no life off this island."

We get to the van where Kate, Hurley, Miles, Jin, and Sayid are. Sayid got shot so he is very weak.

"Hey, guys?" I say and everyone looks at me, "What if this entire time Jack has been trying the prevent the incident, but that nuke he's about to set off is the incident, so is the best thing to do nothing?" No one replies "Glad we all thought this through."

We see someone driving to the Sawn.

"Who's that?" Kate asks

"Its Phil" Jin answers 

"If they see Jack they are going to kill him," Kate says

Sawyer looks at Juliet and says, "What do you think, Blondie?"

"Live together and die alone," Juliet says

Everyone is shooting at Jack when we drive by in the van.

Sawyer, Juliet, Kate, Miles, and I start shooting. It's total chaos.

I shoot a guy who was about to shoot Sawyer.

Sawyer grabs Phil and points a gun at his head. Phil tells everyone to put their guns down so Sawyer won't shoot him.

"Alright, you can come out now doc!" Sawyer says

The drill won't shut down. 

Jack drops the bomb. 

We all wait for an explosion but nothing happens. 

"This does not look like LAX," I say

Next thing I know, smoke starts coming from the drill, everything metal starts getting pulled into the hole. The entire drill falls. 

I'm trying to dodge all the pieces of metal flying at me when Juliet gets caught in chains and she starts to get dragged down the hole.

"Help!" She screams.

"Juliet!" I yell as I run to try and save her.

I grab onto the chain that's caught on her. 

"James! Help!" I yell and he comes running over. 

The chain is pulling me and I try my best to fight it. 

Sawyer grabs Juliet's hand before she could fall in.

"Hayley! Help me get those chains off!"

I try my best to get the chains but they are wrapped around her waist.

"I can't! I can't reach her!" I say

Juliet starts to slip out of Sawyer's hand. 

And she lets go.

"No!" I yell 

Sawyer yells, "Juliet! No!"

Sawyer starts to cry and so do I. 

"Juliet" Sawyer says while still next to the hole.

"James you have to get out of there! You have to come out!" I say

We get Sawyer out in time. 

Then everything goes white.
