Gilbert's POV

While, I was reading my book, I heard somebody starting to breath heavily. I turned and looked to my left at Anne basically shaking. I quickly let go of my book and took her hand in mine.

She was startled and she looked to her right. I gave her a soft smile and I kissed her forehead.

Anne held my hand tighter and put her head on my shoulder, trying to calm down.

I picked up my book again and started reading and before I knew it. Anne had fallen asleep on my shoulder. After about thirty minutes of reading I put my book down and put my arm around her so she could be more comfortable.

She moved closer to me and hid her face on my chest.

She looked like an angel send right from heaven.

I kissed her forehead once again and put my face on top of hers in hope that I would fall asleep too.

I woke up to someone shaking me.

"Gil, we stopped somewhere."

"Where?"

I said opening lazily my eyes.

She shrugged and asked a person who was about to get off the train.

"Excuse me kind sir. But, would you be kind enough to tell us where we are?" asked Anne, kindly.

"We are in Avonlea. Of course." He said annoyed and left.

Wow, someone might of woken up at the wrong side of the bed today.

"Wow, someone might of woken up at the wrong side of the bed today." said Anne and I was shocked at how similar we thought.

"Let's go, Anne-girl." I said, helping her to her feet.

"Y-Yeah." she said standing up.

We reached the door and walked out.

There was a bench so we decided to sit down and think about what we could do.

"Anne-girl, what are we going to do?"

"I don't know, Gil-boy..."

Then, a man came towards us.

"H-Hello."

"Hello." answered Gilbert with a kind smile, pulling me slightly closer to him.

"I-I've b-been here for a w-while and I noticed that you are alone."

We stayed quiet letting the man continue.

"MATTHEW." yelled a woman.

"Yes, Marilla?" asked Matthew.

Marilla was about to answer when she saw us.

"Hello."
