Anne's POV

As we walked inside those doors, everybody was looking at us. Pointing and commenting. Gilbert was immediately pulled away from me. He was about to walk back to me but they were pulling him towards a table.

I just decided to walk towards the girls. But, not without listening to their conversation for a bit.

"Why are you hanging out with that girl?" asked a boy with blonde hair and a disgusted face.

"Why not?"

"She is definitely from some loser land or something." continued the boy.

"I don't care where she is from. A cute girl is a cute girl and on top of that. She is my girlfriend. So, next time think before you talk." said Gilbert, annoyed.

I softly smiled to myself.

"Hello." said a beautiful girl.

"Hello. I'm Anne."

"I'm Diana Barry." said the girl.

"It's a rare pleasure to meet you."

"You too, Anne... What's your last name?" said Diana, chuckling.

"Ummm..."

"Hello, Miss. I'm Gilbert."

"Diana." said Diana kindly and shook his hand. As soon as they let go. Gilbert turned and looked at me.

"Love. Will it be alright if I left for about ten minutes with the guys or do you need something?" said Gilbert with a small smile. I immediately got nervous but I wanted him to be able to make friends.

"Of course. I'll be alright. Have fun, sweetie." I said with a smile.

"Are you sure?" said Gilbert. Of course he could tell when I lied.

"Yes. If anything happens I'll let Diana know." I said.

"Or just come and find me. I'll be right outside." He said and kissed my forehead whilst giving me a quick hug.

"It was great meeting you, Diana." said Gilbert as he smiled kindly at her and walked away.

"You too, Gilbert." said Diana before he left.

Then, she turned and looked at me, when she got interrupted by a blonde girl.

"A new freak? Wasn't Cole enough?" said the girl.

"Well, the school probably needed some decent students after you showed up, Josie." said a tall guy as he walked up to her.

"I'm way more important than you, Brian."

"If you are then why don't you have a boyfriend?"

"Why don't you have a girlfriend?"

"... A lot of reasons actually." answered Brian.

"Why? Don't you like girls or something?" asked Josie.

"We don't like you." joined Cole.

"Hey, look another loser joined us."

"You must be feeling threaten that we'll take your place then."

"What do you mean? You guys are not smart." said Josie, annoyed.

"If we are not smart, then why did we understand what Brian said and you didn't?" asked Cole.
