Anne's POV

I freaked out. I let go of Gilbert's hand and looked at him. I noticed a girl on his left silently crying. Everybody was looking. I couldn't handle the attention.

"Come on. Did you really think that they were dating?"

"She is a little freak."

"This is fake."

I heard different people talking at the same time. I couldn't breath. I was trying to calm myself down. Nothing worked... Not even my imagination was strong enough.

Until, I felt something fall on my lips... Like a feather.

Gilbert was kissing me.

Without realizing I kissed him back.

He pulled me closer to him. I could fell him smiling. I finally felt at peace.

"What is going on here?" said Mr Philips as he opened the door and came back into the classroom.

Me and Gilbert let go.

"Leave. Why are you still here?" asked Mr Philips and we all existed the class quickly.

"I guess it was true after all." said Josie in disgust.

"It must have been a miracle." said Billy as they walked away, holding hands.

"It was love that kicked them both in the face." said Cole as he came towards us.

I avoided Gilbert's gaze.

"Will it be okay if I walked with Cole? I need to talk to him... About something private." I said.

Gilbert cleared his throat and nodded his head.

"Let's go Cole." I said as I quickly pulled him away.

"So... You and Gilbert." said Cole whilst he winked.

"Don't even start." I said as I blushed furiously.

"I always knew you two would end up together."

This is going to be awkward.

"We are not -"

"I could tell by the way he looked at you. It was like he didn't believe in angels, until he looked at you. On the other hand, it wasn't like anything you could imagine. It was the only thing that overpowered even your imagination." said Cole with a smile.

I stopped walking and turned him towards me.

"We are not dating, Cole." I said.

"Really?!?!?!" said Cole and I could tell from a mile away that he was being sarcastic.

"How did you figure it out?" I asked, as I threw my hands in the air and we started walking again.

"It was the little details and the fact that I basically grew up at the asylum with you and Gil." said Cole, chuckling.

"Good point, detective." I said, shaking my head and laughing quietly with him.
