Several blocks away, Max and Duke were walking down the sidewalk when a delicious aroma caught Duke's attention. Licking his lips, the giant dog followed his nose down a dark and creepy alley. "Uh, Duke?" Max called out, "Brooklyn is this way." Realizing his brother wasn't coming back, the terrier sighed long and hard as he followed the other canine.

Just then, Duke and Max stopped in their tracks when they found a cheeseburger laying on the ground in the open. Something isn't right... Max remarked thoughtfully, an uneasy feeling washing over him like a tsunami. However, Duke's tail wagged as he mumbled, "Cheeseburger..." Tongue hanging out, the mutt went over to the food. "Duke, wait!" Max warned.
Despite Max's warning though, it was already too late as a hairless cat landed gracefully on his feet between Duke and the cheeseburger...
