"Are you guys okay?!" Duke cried as he and Max approached the animals, who were climbing out of the van with a small black puppy. Whipping his head around, the rabbit shouted, "CIRCLE!" Immediately, the others formed a circular shape around the two dogs. However, it wasn't exactly a circle. Huffing, the rabbit rubbed his forehead with his white paw as he muttered, "Guys, I said circle, not oval." The animals quickly corrected themselves.
Max and Duke trembled in fear as the white rabbit, presumably the leader, walked up to them with a question in his blue eyes. Sniffing the air, he declared, "Just as I thought. They're domestics. Tattoo..." The rabbit turned towards the pig and ordered, "Kill them."

"Yes Snowball," Tattoo replied.
"Wait, who are you people?!" Max exclaimed while Duke whined, "I'm too young to die!" Slowly turning around to face the pair, Snowball lectured, "Who are we, WHO ARE WE?! We are the Flushed Pets, abandoned by our owners and now seeking revenge on all humankind! It's pretty much a club." Behind his back, Tattoo began, "Well..." He was quickly silenced with a death glare from Snowball.
"But... we hate humans too!" Duke cried suddenly. Quietly, he shoved Max. Getting the message, Max exclaimed, "Uh, yeah! We... burned our collars! To the ground!" Nodding his head, Duke lied, "And we killed our owners!" Shocked, Max looked over his shoulder and glared at Duke.

However, Snowball and the others were loving it as the white rabbit declared, "You two are coming with us. Everyone, to the sewers!" Before Max and Duke could open their mouths to object, they pushed forward by the boxer and black puppy towards a manhole leading down to the sewers below the city's streets...
