chapter 12

Beca's pov.

I stretch out and stand up. We decided to watch a movie after the riff of. Well, they decided. I didn't have a choice. I'm so glad that this house still has power. "Where are you going?" chloe asks me. I turn around and smile at her. "I'm going to work again. It's almost twelve pm tho. Can one of you guys go and wake the others up? Max isn't here. He is patroling the area." i say. Stacie stands up and walks upstairs. "You don't have to get back to work. You can stay here a little longer." chloe says. I look at her and shake my head. "The wall needs to be finished. It's going to take at least another hour until the others are awake enough to start working." i say. "It's the apocalypse. All of us are tired. If they need to work then they don't have another hour to wake up." aubrey says. I lool at her. "I don't want them to get wounds because they were barely awake yet and didn't realise that the axe slipped or something like that. I'll give them an hojr to be ready and then they are going to have to work their ass off." i say. Aubrey shrugs while chloe sighs. "You just recoverd from being sick. You aren't at your best right now. You should rest." chloe says. I shake my head. "I feel fine. Don't worry so much about me. You just relax. Watch another movie or read a book. Not a lot of people are capable of doing those things anymore." i say. Chloe sighs and nods. "Please be carefull." she says. I nod and give her a kiss. "I will." i say. I walk outside and grab the pen and axe again. One tree down, 19 more to do.

Chloe's pov.

I watch beca go outside and shake my head. "She's going to collapse one day." aubrey says. I look at her and nod. "She is. She's way too stubborn tho. She won't listen to anything we say." i tell her. "It's because she feels fine." hailee says. We look at her. "I know that she feels fine now. But if she suddenly starts to feel dizzy or sick then i'm afraid that she will just ignore it and will keep working." i tell hailee. Hailee smiles and nods. "I don't know her as good as you guys do, but i do know a few things. We mitchels don't like to sit still. If we can help, then we will. That's why beca wants to build the wall right now. She has nothing else to do. Nothing usefull at least. She knows when to quit tho. If she feels dizzy or sick then she will stop." hailee says. "She didn't stop the last time tho. We told her to rest inside and to take a nap. She said that she was fine but se vomited not too long after." aubrey says. Hailee nods. "You told her to rest. You told her that she should take a break and not work. You do know how beca is right? She doesn't like to be told what she can and can't do. She's alone out there. No one to tell her no. She will stop when she feels bad." hailee says. That does make sense to be honest. It sounds like a beca thing. "That's good to know." i say with a smile. I can see that aubrey is more relaxed as well after that hailee said that.

Stacie's pov.

I already woke up most of the girls. The only girls left are jessica and ashley. I knock on the door and wait a few seconds. I don't hear anything so i open the door and walk into the room. "Hey guys, wake u-" i suddenly notice jessica and ashley cuddeling. That's so cute! I always thought that they were together but didn't want to bother them by asking. I walk towards the side where ashley is sleeping and shake her shoulder a bit. "Wake up, ash." i say. She slowly opens her eyes and looks at me. "It's time to wake up." i say with a smile. She nods and cuddles closer to jessica. "I'm up." she mumbles. I nod and walk out of the room. No way that they aren't together right? I walk downstairs and see that beca is already gone. "Is she outside?" i ask them. They all nod. "Alright, i have to ask you guys something. Ashley and jessica are together right?" i ask them. They look confused. "I don't know." aubrey says. "Wait, they aren't a couple? I thought that they were." hailee says. "We don't know for sure. I always thought that they were aswell. I just never asked them." i say. I hear noises coming from upstairs and know that everyone is coming downstairs. "Let's ask them when they are downstairs then." hailee says. I nod and look at the stairs. Jason walks down first with a bright smile. He looks like a happy bunny. "I'm going to eat some cereal." he says. We smile and nod. We wait until we see ashley and jessica walking down the stairs. "Hey, ashley and jessica. Can you come here for a moment." chloe asks. They look confused and walk towards us. "What's up?" jessica asks. "We were just wondering if you guys were a couple?" emily asks with a big smile. Jessica laughs and shakes her head. "God no! We are not together. We will never be together. I'm straight. And ashley is straight aswell. We are just good friends." jessica says. I look at ashley and see tears in her eyes. She looks at me and then fakes a smile. "Yeah, we aren't together." she says. Jessica smiles at us and goes into the kitchen to get some breakfast. Ashley was about to follow her when i grab her arm to stop her. "Ash, you like her don't you?" i ask her. She looks down for a moment and when she looks back, their are tears in her eyes. "Yeah, i really like her." she says.

How will this end?
Will they get together or will there be a big fight?
