chapter 2

Hailee's pov.

I went inside the house to look for emily but i can't find her. I then notice that the back door is open. Maybe she went through there? I decided to go after her to see how she's doing. I didn't really know denise. I don't think that i actually ever even spoke to her. It doesn't mean that i'm not sad that she's gone. I feel for the others. That's why i'm going to see how emily is doing. I know that she spoke a lot with denise. She always makes time to get to know everyone. I saw them talking and laughing a few times. They looked like good friends.

Stacie's pov.

I'm sitting in the kitchen with aubrey and chloe, just talking about stuff. I look at chloe and sigh.

"I'm worried about beca." i say.

Chloe and aubrey look at me.

"What are you talking about? Why should you be worried?" aubrey asks.

"Beca is going to be fine. She just needs some rest because of her powers." chloe says.

I shake my head and sigh again.

"Didn't you see her face when she shot denise. She looked terrified. Like she couldn't beleive that she had done that. I know that she will blame herself and she is extremly stuborn. She's going to push everyone away and she needs us right now." i say.

Chloe nods.

"You're right. She would do that. She will break herself if we let her do that. As soon as she wakes up i'm going to talk to her. I hope that she will understand then that it is not her fault." chloe says.

"When are you going to teach her how to swim again?" aubrey suddenly asks.

"Why are you asking?" chloe asks.

Aubrey shrugs.

"I just want to make sure that she actually knows how to swim so she won't drown." aubrey says.

"She can just use her powers tho. She's the avatar remember?" i say with a smile.

Chloe laughs a little and aubrey smiles.

"I know that. But you can't always rely on those powers." aubrey says.

Chloe sighs.

"I know. I'll ask her when she wakes up." chloe says.

"I'm going to make breakfast. I'm not missing breakfast because some guy wanted to kidnap and kill us." i say while standing up.

"I'll help you with that." aubrey says.

She stands up and chloe follows.

"You guys go ahead and do that. I'm going to check on beca." chloe says.

I smile and nod.

Emily's pov.

I can't beleive it. This looks so cool! I pick up the glove and look at it. Who made this? This isn't a normal glove. There is some kind of blade on top of it. It looks really sharp. I put the glove on my right hand and look at it. I close my fist and swing my arm. It's like i'm just punching something. It's like the blade isn't there. I can kill walkers easily with this. Are there more gloves like these around here? I look around but i can't find anything.

"Emily?" i hear someone saying.

I turn around and look out the window. It's hailee.

"I'm up here!" i say.

Hailee looks up and raises her eyebrow.

"What in the world are you doing up there?" hailee asks.

"Mr. Nibbles ran away so i followed him and found this tree house. I decided to see if there was something usefull and look what i got!" i say.

I show my right hand with the glove on and hailee smiles.

"That's so cool!" she says.

"Watch out! I'm going to throw it down." i say.

I pull the glove off and throw it down. I grab the rope and start to slowly get down aswell. When i'm standing on the ground again i see hailee looking at my blade glove.

"Awesome, right?" i say.

Hailee nods.

"It is. Let's show the others it." hailee says.

"Yeah we should probably head back. There is still a lot that needs to be done." i say.

I take my blade glove back and put it on my right hand again while holding hailee's hand with my left.

Chloe's pov.

I walk upstairs and pass the bedroom where jason is sleeping and knock on the door. I hear nothing so i open the door and see that he is still sleeping. I walk towards him and lightly shake his shoulder.

"Wake up jason. Breakfast is almost ready." i say.

Jason opens his eyes and smiles.

"Hey chlo. How long was i sleeping?" jason asks me.

I smile at him.

"Only three hours. You can come back to sleep after breakfast. You need to eat first tho." i say.

Jason nods and stands up.

"I'm going to see if they need help with breakfast." jason says.

"I'm going to wake beca up." i say.

Jason nods and walks out of the room. I follow him but instead of going downstairs like he's doing, i turn towards the room where beca is sleeping. I knock on the door but i don't get an answer. Obviously she's still sleeping. I open the door and sit next to her on the bed. I kiss her forehead and feel that she has a light fever. No swimming lessons today or tomorrow it looks like. I shake her shoulder.

"Wake up becs. Breakfast is ready. We need to go and put some food in your stomach." i say.

Beca groans and shakes her head.

"M'sleepy." beca mumbles.

I laugh a little and shake my head.

"You can sleep after breakfast. Get up." i say.

Beca groans again but sits up.

"Did you guys already bury her?" beca asks.

I nod a little.

"We cleaned everything up aswell. There is still a lot to do tho, but we can figure that out another day." i say.

Beca sighs and nods.

"Let's go and eat." she says.

I nod and quickly give her a kiss.

"Let's go." i say.
