chapter 38

Jason's pov.

I know that chloe asked us to leave the room, but i can't sit here doing nothing. "Hey chloe? Can i try something?" i ask her. Hailee and chloe look at me. (Alison left the room a while ago.) "what do you want to try?" chloe asks me. I kneel down next to beca and look at them. "I want to try to contact beca in her sleep. I've done it with her before when she was going through worse when you guys were kidnapped. It should work." i say. "Is it safe? For the both of you?" hailee asks. I smile at her and nod. "Yeah, i'll be carefull. And it's not like i can hurt beca on accident. I'll have to really try. And even then. The worst i can do is make her scared. I can't kill her with my powers." i say. "So basicly your useless in a fight?" hailee asks me. I smirk a bit and shake my head. "I'm not useless in a fight at all. See, i can get into peoples head. I can know peoples secrets and their deepest fear. And because i can get into their minds, i can make them feel like they are going through the things that scare them the most." i say with a smile. Hailee and chloe look confused at me. "I don't get it." chloe says. I sigh. "Alright, let me explain. Imagine that hailee her worst fear was hights. I could get into her mind and make her beleive like she's on the edge of a giant mountain." i say. "Oohw i get it now. That's pretty cool then." hailee says with a smile. "So, can i?" i ask them. They nod and i reach out to beca.

Beca's pov.

Pain. It hurts. What happend? Where am i? Is it dark in here or are my eyes closed? I try to open my eyes and flinch when i look into the sunlight. "Beca." i hear someone say. I open my eyes again and see jason standing there. I look around and notice that we are on a open field. No tree in sight. Just like the first time that jason contacted me in my dreams. I look at jason and frown. "This isn't real life is it? You contacted me in my mind. Well, that means that i'm not dead right?" i ask jason. Jason chuckles and shakes his head. He sits down next to me and smiles at me. "You aren't dead. Alison patched you up. Chloe was going to do it but she was shaking a bit too hard. Chloe and hailee are sitting next to you, waiting until you wake up. They have been waiting for over two hours already. When do you plan on waking up?" jason asks me with a teasing smile. I glare a bit at him. "I would wake up right now if i actually had a choice in that. Anyway, what happend with jesse and kristen?" i ask jason. Jason sighs and looks down at the ground. "Well, i know that stacie teached jesse a lesson as soon as max pulled him back from you. She and max tied him up and dumped him somewhere in the woods. He's probably dead. They just let kristen go tho. She was pretty sorry about jesse's behaviour." jason says. "Well, i'm glad that they won't bother us anymore." i say with a sigh. "Hey, i have to go now. Staying here too long will hurt my head. If you aren't awake in two hours then i'm coming back okay?" jason says. I smile and nod. "See you buddy." i say.

Chloe's pov.

Thirty minutes. Jason hasn't moved or opend his eyes in thirty minutes. What are they talking about that takes so long? Is everything okay with her? Jason suddenly lifts his head and opens his eyes. "Jason, how is she?" i quickly ask. Jason smiles at me and hailee. "Don't worry. She's fine. Her body is probably preventing her from waking up because it needs to heal. I promised her that i would return to her after two hours." jason says. I sigh and smile a bit. "I hope that she wakes up soon." i say. Hailee puts her hand on my shoulder and smiles at me. "I also hope that she wakes up soon. Do you mind if i go to emily for a bit?" hailee asks me. I smile at her and shake my head. "No, it's alright. Go to your girlfriend. Make out a bit and stuff. I'll stay with beca." i say. Hailee smiles and stands up. "Thank you chloe. Can you tell me when something happens to her?" hailee asks. I nod. "You will be the first to know." i say. Hailee smiles and leaves the room. "Young love. It's so beautifull." jason says with a sigh. I raise my eyebrow and look at him. "What do you mean 'young love'?" i ask jason. "Well, hailee is seventeen and emily is nineteen. They are still young." jason says with a shrug. "Wait, how old are you?" i ask jason. "I never told you how old i am? I'm thirty two." jason says. My eyes widen. "Thirty two?! I thought that you were twenty five!" i say. Jason chuckles. "Well, i'm not. Anyway, how old are you and beca?" jason asks. "Well, i'm twenty six, almost twenty seven. Beca is twenty four." i say. Jason nods and looks at beca. "I'll leave you two alone for a while. See ya later chlo." jason says. I wave at him and watch him leave.
