chapter 30

Beca's pov.

It's been two days since lily sneaked out to check the area. I was kind of mad at her for that. I was worried about her. She came back about an hour after she left, saying that she found nothing. She promised me that she wasn't going to go out alone anymore. We need to stick together if we want to survive! The girls should be back tomorrow or the day after. If they aren't back by then, then we will take the whole group with us to find them. My girlfriend, little sister and best friend are out there. I also care alot about aubrey and emily ofcourse. Yesterday i also decided to pull my grandmom her ring from my neck and to remove the leather piece of rope that i used to use the ring as a necklace. The ring is safe in my pocket. I'm going to propose to chloe in the evening when we are in our room. Maybe even sing her a song. Why not? I could put the guitar in our room. That's a great idea!

"Good morning beca."

I look at flo and smile. "Sup flo?" i say. Flo smirks and points at the ceiling. "The ceiling is up." ( AN: i'm so done with people saying that to me! They make that joke at least once a day.) she says. I groan and shake my head. "Was it not a good joke?" flo asks with a smile. I look at her and shake my head again. "Please, never make that joke again." i say. Flo laughs and nods. "So, what is the plan for today?" flo asks. "Well, i was thinking about checking out our weapons. See how much ammo we have and stuff. I was also thinking about making a bow and arrow somehow. Winter is coming and i want some meat. Living of off fruit and plants and stuff can't be that good. We need meat." i say. Flo nods. "Do you know how to make a bow and arrow?" flo asks me. "I've seen some videos about it but i never tried it before. I can try and see how it turns out." i say. Flo sighs and nods. "Me and the girls can make a list from everything that we have. You worry about that bow. Why do you want to hunt now? Winter is coming." flo says. I nod in agreement. "I know. It's just that i want to use the chance that we now have. There are no walkers out there. They are gone for some reason. This is the perfect time to start hunting!" i say. Flo was about to respond when the front door suddenly opens. We can't see who it is so i take my gun out while flo takes a big knife. We creep closer to the front door with our weapons infront of us. I pull the safety off of my gun and nod at flo. Here we go.

Me and sean have been working non stop to find out where the subject is. We haven't found a single clue yet. We have searched everywhere that we could think about that's in the area. I sigh and and rest my head in my hands. "Are you alright, sir?" sean asks me. I look up at him and nod. "Don't worry, sean. I'm fine. I just wished that jake would have left a clue behind from where he found the subject. It would be really helpfull." i say. Sean nods and thinks for a moment. "Do you think that it is worth the chase?" sean asks me. I look at him while i'm confused. "What do you mean?" i ask him. "Well, we have been looking for the subject for almost a month and we haven't found a single clue yet about where she is. She could be on the other side of the world as far as we know. She could be hiding in a place close to us. We have no clue. Wouldn't it be better to find a new subject? At least until we found a clue." sean says. I lean back in my chair and sigh. "You do have a point there." i say. "Hmmmm. How about this. We put our best guys together to find the old subject while we put another team together to look for a new subject. That way they will do the work for us and we can keep an eye on both teams." i say. Sean thinks for a moment and then nods slowly. "That could work. But jake his problem was that he didn't really know who his people were. He accepted them and never paid close attention to them. That's how the old subject escaped. Docter alison used to be captured with a friend and her brother. Jake expiremented on the boys but didn't like the power that the friend got. If i'm correct then the friend should be jake his brother jason. Jake decided to send jason away together with alison but he wanted to keep the brother. I don't remember his name. I think it was max or something like that. Alison begged him to let her brother go and take her instead. She was a doctor and jake needed them so he accepted. It was a stupid thing to do. Alison helped the subject to escape through the quickest way. If jake would have kept her brother, then the subject would still be here and we would know more about the boy his power." sean says. "You know a lot about the stuff that goes on in here don't you?" i ask him. Sean nods. "Good. I like that. And we aren't going to make the same mistake that jake made. Once we have them, we won't let them leave."
