chapter 35

Beca's pov.

"So they had nothing on them exept for these two guns wich have barely any ammo in it?" i ask alison. She nods. "Yeah. I checked everywhere just to be sure." she says. I put the guns in the closet and close it. "At least they weren't lying about not having anything." i say with a sigh. "I have a feeling that you don't trust him." alison says. I nod and sit down on the couch. "I trusted him once but he betrayed me." i say. Alison sits down next to me. "What happend between the two of you?" she asks me. I shrug and look down at the ground. "We were together for about four years and when i called him just before the zombie apocalypse started, he told me that he has been seeing kristen for a long time behind my back and broke up with me. Now i realise that i never really loved him like that but he was still my friend. Now i don't even know him anymore." i say. Alison puts her hand on my knee and smiles at me. "Well, forget about that. Forget about him and kristen. You have chloe now. You guys are together! Focuse on that. My dad always said 'focuse on what you have, not what you lost.'" she says. I smile at her. "Your father sounds very wise." i say. Alison nods. "He is. If i needed advice then i would go to him. He always knows how to help me." she says.

Max's pov.

I asked CR if she could stay with jason for a bit because i needed some fresh air. The wolf in me doesn't like to sit still for to long. I run around for a few minutes when i suddenly smell something weird. I follow the smell and find two teenage boys with drugs. They look really high. I creep a bit closer and notice that they have about fifty bags, twenty two pills and what looks like eleven syringes. I bet that i could take all of that without them even knowing it. I can grab their backpack and shove all the drugs in it. I slowly walk towards the backpack and grab it. The boys just lay down and stare at the sky. I walk closer and start to put the drugs away. I close the backpack and then run out of there as fast as i can. I run into the house and into my room. I put the backpack under my bed and wipe the sweat of my forehead. Damn, i can't beleive that i made that.

???'s pov.

I was listening to some music when a guard told me that one of our captured guards is awake. I'm now walking towards the med bay where he is. "Sir, glad to see that you could make it. This is nate. He knows probably the most about what jake was doing." sean says. Nate looks at me and gives me a nod in greeting. "Nice to meet you sir. I'll try to answer as good as i can." nate says. Hmmmm, another polite boy. I could get used to this. I grab a nearby chair and sit down. "Alright. I want to know about what happend at that house where we found you." i say. "Well sir, jake, me and some other guards found out that the subject was hiding there. Jake wanted to kidnap the subject and a few of the subjects friends to mess with her. He was going to kill the others who he didn't want to take with him. We had gasoline with us because jake wanted to burn the house down. I guess that it kind of worked. We had this pretty good plan but one of our guards got captured by them and they tortured him until he told them about our plan. They send away the ones that couldn't fight and then waited for us. They were wining against the guards but the subject, who was fighting jake, was losing. Then they suddenly runned of. I kept fighting until i got knocked out. That's all i remember." nate says.

"Who was fighting against you? Do you know any names?" sean asks.

That's a pretty smart thing to ask. Nate looks at him. "Uuh, i know that they were once subjects from this lab. The werewolf is called max i think. Then there was this vampire looking girl. I don't know her name tho. They did say that jake his brother, jason, was around keeping the zombies away from the group." nate says. Sean looks at me. "I can order a guard to get all the information about them and see how we can take them down, if that's good." sean says. I nod and he steps out of the room to fetch a guard. "Nate, do you know the subject their name? I know that it is a girl but that's all i know." i say. I see nate think for a moment andthen shrugs. "I'm sorry, sir. I can't remember her name. I do know that she was in her last year of college and that she is together with a readheaded girl." nate says. I nod and smile at him. That doesn't really help me but at least it is something. Sean walks back in and looks at me. "I put some guards on that and they will find everything in no time. And sir, i remember that jake once talked about a cabin in the woods. Apperently that's where they kidnapped the girls for the first time. We can try to look for the cabin. Maybe they went back there?" sean asks. I nod and smile. "That sounds like a good idea. You can put a few teams together to go look for that cabin. I'll go and check up on the other patients. Maybe they know more." i say. Sean walks out and i smile at nate before i walk out of the room.

It's my birthday today!
