Third Person POV:
All team members gathered around Coach Ukai, listening intently to his speech.
"I think you guys already know what our next goal is: the Spring High. Third years are also able to compete, since now they hold the Spring High in January, and for those that do, it is literally their 'final battle'. Well, anyway, let's have the captain get you guys fired up with some words of encouragement."
Daichi stood up, with a determined look on his face.
"Karasuno has stood on that stage only once. We're going back there again."
"HELL YEAAAAAAAAAAAH!!" Tanaka screamed, spirited from the captain's words. Out of the blue, Takeda Sensei bursted through the doors, tripping on the ledge face down at the floor. From the looks of it, it seems that he sprinted to the gym: his glasses are crooked, he's dripping with sweat, and he kept wheezing. His hand clutching on a sheet of paper tightly as he tried to catch his breath.
"We're going right?!"
"Where?!" The ginger asked, eager for his answer.
"Your nose is bleeding!" Kageyama pointed out.
"To Tokyo!"
"By Tokyo, do you mean Nekoma?!"
"But this time, it won't just be with Nekoma," Takeda Sensei unraveled the crumpled sheet of paper and straightened it. "It's with the Fukurodani Academy Group. As a group made up of several schools in Kanto, including Nekoma. They apparently conduct rigorous matches and the like on a regular basis, but this time, thanks to Nekoma's coach, Nekomata, Karasuno's also going to be allowed to participate I'm their joint practice matches!!"
"WOAAH!" The two second years exclaimed, getting fired up.
"I'M GONNA BUST ON INTO THAT CITY BOY ALLIANCE!!" Tanaka added.
"City boy..." Tskishima trailed off, trying his best to stifle his laughter.
"Alliance...?" Yamaguchi can't help but snicker.
Takeda Sensei continued, "anyway, what do you all think...?"
"That's a no-brainer." Daichi said, "WE'LL GO!"
All the team members jumped in jubilance, all thrilled that they're going to a camp for summer, with the exception of Tsukishima of course. Everyone's celebration came to a stop when Takeda Sensei delivered the most devastating news with a grim, pale face to the four idiots: Hinata, Kageyama, Noya, and Tanaka.
"I assume you already know that you have final exams next month? You know that, right?"
As expected, the four shook their heads looking like they've seen the depths of hell. Takeda Sensei sighed, and then continued.
"So, as you might already expect, there are supplementary lessons to attend for any subjects you fail."
The four stared at the floor, their once fiery eyes now became lifeless and full of tears. Ayame, Yamaguchi, and Tsukishima can't help but stifle out a laugh at the sight.
"May you all rest in peace." Ayame mumbled between her silent chuckles. Suddenly the two second years stood up and sprinted away from the other members.
"TANAKA, NISHINOYA, WHERE DO YOU THINK YOURE GOING?! THERE'S NOWHERE TO RUN!" The captain turned to the second year beside him, "ENNOSHITA, CATCH THEM!"
The gym was a frantic mess, everyone was running around, screaming curses and throwing volleyballs, except for Tsukishima, who was enjoying the show and Ayame, who was too busy studying her biology notes. This is out of control.
"A fai-failing grade!! What number is that?!"
"You're stuck at that point?!" Suga replied to the ginger.
"Kageyama's not breathing!!" Yamaguchi screamed, horrified as he looked at the lifeless setter.
"Wh-what about them?!" Hinata pointed to the calm group of people: third years, the rest of the second years, Tsukishima, Ayame, and Yamaguchi.
"I never get failing grades," Tsukishima mocked the two as he smirked.
"Me neither." Ennoshita added, dragging the two second years by their shirt.
"Same here." Asahi said.
"What about her?!" Hinata pointed to Ayame, who lifted her face off of the notebook.
"If you actually pay attention to the school's bulletin board, Ayame ranked seventh based on the scores of last semester's exam." Takeda Sensei stated.
"I'm ranked sixth." The blonde teased, which irritated her. There was a fiery rage aura that surrounded her as she continued to study ferociously, making the others scoot away at her, horrified except for Tsukishima. How brave.
"I'll score higher than you this time." She gritted her teeth, which make the boy's smirk grow wider. The girl had always been pressured to get high grades as a child, so studying comes naturally for her along with her thirst for knowledge. Not to mention, her burning desire to surpass others when it comes to her studies.
"We'll see about that."
