Arthit's POV

Kongpob was still on his knees in front of us while he continued staring at the fake ring in the box with his mouth hanging wide open. And after a solid five minutes when he had still not raised his head to meet our eyes, Preet distinctly cleared her throat to gain his attention when he finally looked towards us with guilt written all over it.

"P'Preet I can explain. This isn't what it looks like"

"Oh you can explain? Good then. I am all ears."

"Ummm....ok maybe this somewhat similar to what it looks like. But I didn't mean for it to get so far."

"How far exactly did you expect for it to go."

"I didn't actually think P'Arthit would....ummm....you know...."

"Careful there Kongpob, I am still very much your boss. And completely looking forward to what I will do to you now."

Can I say I absolutely enjoyed the scared little lump he had a hard time swallowing while he briefly shifted his eyes to me before he switched back to looking at Preet.

"What I don't get is why the fuck would you involve me in this stupid plan of yours. If you wanted to prank Arthit you should have just come to me directly. I have much better ideas instead of this trash that you came up with."

"Woah, woah, woah. Hang on there Preet. You and I are supposed to be on the same side remember."

"Oh shut it. I am equally mad at you. If you hadn't started your ridiculous mind games with Kong as soon as he joined we wouldn't have come to this disastrous day. And please don't even try to excuse yourself. All of us know you totally deserved atleast some retaliation for all the bullying you put Kong through."

"C'mon Preet I never ...."

"Oh please, save it. But atleast this time it was clearly Kong who was in the wrong. In the very, very wrong. How could you do this to me. I thought we were friends. I trusted you. I told you my deepest secret only for you to use it in your plan to play a stupid prank."

"I am sorry P'Preet. I shouldn't have involved you. I shouldn't have violated your trust."

"And what about Arthit. I know he behaves like a massive douche."

"Hey!"

"And he has been nothing but a jerk to you."

"Hey!"

"And he definitely deserves to be knocked down multiple, multiple pegs."

"Yes Preet he gets the idea! Is there a but there somewhere in your speech?"

"But...Kong what you did was beyond despicable. How can you justify playing with someone's emotions just for a prank. Of all the people you should know how truly messed up that is."

Atleast he had the shame to hang his head low as his cheeks took over a deep crimson hue while getting thoroughly berated by Preet. I knew involving Preet to get back at Kong would prove to be a sweet success. And all of this was just a cherry on top, cause for nearly four weeks I had seen Kong go nearly bald while pulling his hair out trying to figure out the drastic change in all our personalities. Infact at times it was practically impossible for me to not burst out laughing when the confusion on his face was very clearly decipherable. The fake ring was actually Preet's idea. I can't believe the fool actually fell for something so lame.

"I don't know how you thought this stupid idea was even worthy of pursuing. Did you not think of any of the consequences Kong? What if Arthit was truly serious and he did confess. Do you know how difficult it would become for us to work together? Or what if even now he is still madly in love with me cause of my enchanting beauty and my overflowing charm and he never gets over his undying affection for me and is doomed to an eternity of loneliness and sorrow cause he can simply never find a replacement worthy of me."
