Kong's POV

It wasn't for another hour before we managed to make our way back to our desks and by then the number of folders on my table had nearly tripled. I was very consciously biting on my swollen, raw lips to conceal the rather salacious activity we were just involved in whereas P'Arthit couldn't have looked more smug while P'Preet kept trying to inquire where we had disappeared off to for so long.

Thankfully she didn't press on that line of questioning for long as she began focusing on her grocery list that I was on the hook for helping her carry. Which conveniently spilled into me chopping vegetables, burning her pot in failed attempts to cook, buying pizza as compensation, washing the rest of her dishes, and last but not least feeding her cats. I must say P'Preet was taking a little too much pleasure in bossing me around. It also didn't help that May was a very willing house guest during my evening of servitude where the two of them spent nearly the entire time gossiping about my ex-boyfriend and plots to assassinate him just in case I gave them the green light. And as much as I appreciate the support I would have very much liked to have spent my evening doing drastically different activities. Infact I wouldn't have complained one bit if the events of the morning were to be replicated in some manner.

It was well past 11 in the night when P'Preet and May finally allowed me to find my way home or rather to the one person I haven't had the chance to speak with after our rendezvous in the janitor's closet. Which I should really remember to visit sometime again in the future. But as expected the drama in my life is full of twists that are apparently never ending since the first thing I see stepping out of the building was P'Nat waiting for me.

Now as tempting as it would have been to make some excuse and escape this awkward confrontation, it was inevitable, and if we really did have to work together from now on, might as well get it over with sooner rather than later. Also, this was almost the perfect opportunity, without the prying eyes of everyone at office, namely P'Preet and May and the deathly aura of P'Arthit, constantly attempting to slay him with his death stare.

"I have been waiting for you all evening Kong. Can we atleast talk for a little bit?"

"P'Nat we really don't have much to say to each other."

"Of course we do. We haven't seen each other in four years. We have so much to catch up on. I missed your graduation. And you starting your new job. You seem to be doing really well. Although Arthit seems to be bullying you quite a bit. He is generally known to be a little bit of a hard ass. He used to be like that even back in the day. But don't worry, I will look out for you now. I can protect you from Arthit."

"I don't need protecting. I can manage on my own just fine."

"I know you can, but you don't need to now that I'm back."

"P'Nat what is it you want from me?"

"I want you back."

"That's never going to happen."

"Why not? We were great together. You know what we had was special."

"None of that obviously stopped you from leaving four years ago."

"You know I didn't want to leave. I wanted to stay right here with you."

"Really? That's not how I remember it at all. From what I recall you were more than happy to leave."

"That's not true Kong. But you are right. Whether I wanted to or not I did leave. And that's my fault. I shouldn't have ever agreed to it. But I am back now and I will make it up to you. I swear. I won't leave again. No matter what."

"And what does your wife have to say about all of this?"

"Is that what's bothering you? Me being married? Trust me she will not come between us."
