Arthit's POV

I was getting utterly frustrated with this ridiculous ping pong match that the two of them were involved in, and I had yet to make up my mind who was pissing me off more. Karly, who seems to think waltzing into her husband's ex-boyfriend's apartment first thing in the morning was a perfectly common thing to do. I wonder if that sentence has ever been uttered before by anyone. Or if it was Kong that was getting on my nerves since he was very suspiciously not letting Karly explain her presence. And as frustrating as our love rectangle seemed to be I was exceptionally curious as to why this Nat fellow had resurfaced or why his newly married wife seemed to be haunting Kong's doorstep. What was this new found marriage vows that entailed helping your husband get back with his ex. And what the hell was I doing in between all this drama. Actually, that is the only question I unequivocally know the answer to. Protecting what was mine, that's what. Now only if Kong would stop acting so bloody suspicious.

We were scattered around his dining table after Kong's unsuccessful attempt at shooing her away and although she was pointedly trying to ignore my presence, even going as far as suggesting I give them some space to talk, I kept my butt very firmly planted on his chair while Kong had yet to let her finish even one statement to its completion. In fact he kept hovering over our heads, continually making the short walk between the dining table and the front door in the hopes that one of us would eventually follow him. Too bad for him, I am very interested in what was about to transpire.

"So Karly right? What brings you here bright and early?"

"Ummm...I came here to see Kong ofcourse?"

"Kong? You seem pretty intimate with him without having actually met before. Or am I missing something?"

"No we haven't met but ofcourse Nat talks about him all the..."

"We are actually a little busy right now Karly. P'Arthit and I were about to head to breakfast so if you don't mind maybe we can do this some other time."

"P'Arthit? As in Nat's boss?"

She looked at me again with a deep frown. Her expressions faltering slightly. Apparently, it seems Nat hadn't updated her on the slight complication in their strategy. Namely, me.

"Yup, that's me alright."

"Why are you having breakfast with Kong?"

"Why are you interrupting my breakfast with Kong?"

"Me? I'm here cause Nat told me Kong was still mad at him about..."

"I am not mad about anything. No emotion whatsoever. At anybody. Nope. Nada. The only thing I am feeling is starvation. Plain old simple hunger. So if that was all then we need to get going."

"Please, Kong. I really think you should give Nat a chance to explain. He really does love you and..."

"Listen Karly I am already dating someone so neither do I need or want to have this conversation. Let's just end this chapter here ok. C'mon P' let's go."

"Who are you dating?"

"That isn't really any of your business."

"It's him isn't it? You are dating your own boss?"

"Did you not hear me the first time?"

"Does Nat know that you...?"

"Again, this is no body's business but mine. I don't want to be rude but Karly I think you can find your way to the door right?"

"Oh c'mon Kong, you must surely realize why this is a terrible idea. I mean you remember wha..."

"The only thing I surely know is that you are trespassing right now."

She clucked her tongue out of sheer frustration of having most of her sentences cut short and she finally turned towards the one individual actually interested in listening to what she wanted to say. Finally! Hopefully, we might even be able to get to the bottom of this once and for all. I hate having useless bugs buzzing around our lives, and the only way to eliminate them is to rip them out from their source. So when she began addressing me, I was more than willing to give her my complete, undivided attention.

"P'Arthit you absolutely need to break up with Kong."

"Interesting strategy you got there. But fine, I will."

"You will?"

"You what?"

"Of course I will, as soon I am convinced why I absolutely need to break up with Kong."

"Cause....cause....Nat is the one that deserves to be with Kong and not you."

"And why is that?"

"Cause they are meant to be together."

"Hmmm, not a very convincing argument. But let's put that aside for a second and let's focus on you."

"Me?"

"Yes, the rest of us have very boring stories compared to you. The regretful ex-boyfriend, the coveted man, and the new love interest aka the boss. You on the other hand Karly are the intriguing one."

"What do you mean?"

"Tell me, why exactly are you helping your husband get back together with his ex-boyfriend?"

"Because I know how much they mean to each other and I don't want to stand in their way. If I can help reunite true love then I will do anything to make that happen."

"P' I really think we should end this..."

"Ssshhh...Kong. Can't you see I am about to have a very enlightening conversation."

"I can light you up as much as you want. Can we please go now?"

"Nope, I wager this is going to be a lot of fun. So, where were we Karly? Yeah, you were gallantly sacrificing your happiness for Nat's true love. Did you find out about Nat and his impending happily ever after with another man before or after your wedding?"

"That's not important."

"Oh, I think it is very crucial to this conversation. We need to establish if you jumped feet first in this love less marriage knowing you will be chasing another man for your husband or it was more of a deception by Nat."

"He did not deceive me. We got married cause our families forced us to. That's it. He never lied to me about anything. But once I found out his true feelings for Kong, I couldn't bear to stand in their way and that is why I am here. To convince Kong to give him another chance. Kong you need to listen to..."

"Hang on a second, I am not really done with you just yet. Ok so let's say I agree to get out of the way, and even help serve Kong on a shiny new platter to Nat, how exactly is this arrangement supposed to work? Is this a divorce kind of a situation or a romp on the side type of an offer?"

"Why does that matter to you? That is between the three of us."

"Shouldn't it? I mean if you are asking me to basically sacrifice my relationship I would atleast want to know if it's for a worthy cause right?"

"I don't know yet, but we will figure it out."

"P'Arthit I thin..."

"Shush! So you married Nat, moved countries with him, chased down his ex-boyfriend, tried to convince him to get together with your husband, told me to break up with Kong and yet you don't know how it is all going to work out? I would say you and Nat have terrible future planning. So I guess that means you know my answer. Maybe try again once you have a better game plan formulated."

"You think you can win against Nat? You won't."

"Nope, I dont think that at all. Good thing there is no competition then. But I do think you may be forgetting that I am still his boss. I am the one going to sign off on his paychecks you know."

"As if that will matter once he is dating the CEO's son."

And she immediately realized what she had let slip and slapped her hand over her mouth, her eyes wide with shock.

"Ah! So finally we get to the truth!"
