Kong's POV

"I am done thinking."

Why does this man frown so much. And why does he like having these confrontations in the middle of the night? Do people about to confess their undying love have such a sour expression on their face? I don't like how this is shaping up and we haven't even begun yet.

"Come in first."

"No, I am good. This won't take too long."

Not good. Not good. Not good at all.

"So...uh..."

"I am ok with you liking me."

Huh?

And then he nodded at me like that was supposed to mean something and turned to walk away before I snapped awake and went to grab his arm before he left me with this vague little snippet.

"What did you say?"

"I said I am ok with you liking me."

"Uh....thank you?"

"You are welcome."

And once again he moved to head back before I tugged him towards my apartment and shut the door tightly behind us, preventing him from scuttling away without giving me an answer longer than 6 words.

"What does that mean?"

"What part did you not understand?"

"All of it. Any of it. That's all you have to say."

"Yup."

"One whole week and that's all you came up with?"

"Yup."

"It took you one week to give me permission to like you?"

"No, it took me one week to figure out if this was some elaborate prank of yours."

"Oh? What did you conclude?"

"That you like your hide too much to risk me skinning you alive if this is some sort of a very non-funny joke for you. And also I don't think you would stoop to such a level."

"Well, that's good to hear I guess. But what do you think about me liking you?"

"I just told you."

"No I mean how do you feel about me liking you?"

"I don't know yet."

"Oh for heaven's sake, don't tell me you are still thinking about it."

"Yes"

"C'mon P' haven't you thought about it enough already?"

"What do you want me to say? I am your boss. You are my boss' son. We have been at each other's throat for years now. And then I get drunk and come onto you. I don't even know why I did that. And then you tell me you like me out of nowhere. All of this is so bloody confusing. I don't even know what to think about it."

"I can help you figure it out."

"How?"

"Maybe you can give us a chance."

His frown got even deeper than it was five minutes ago, which pretty much mirrored mine. He went away for a week leaving me in intense suspense about what his true feelings were and came back absolutely empty.

"I don't....don't think that's a great idea."

"Why not? How will you know unless you give it a shot."
