This is for my preference book cover winner! Sorry for the quality it took me a bit to follow the lyrics (an hour and a half).
End Up Here - 5SOS
"You walked in, everyone was asking for your name, you just smiled, and told them trouble."
You never were one to be labled as an angel. Never the one to be seen as anything less than trouble, but you never minded your title or the stares from others when you walked into a room. "Let their minds wander and their mouths talk." You've always said, holding your head high. Just like you do today, stepping into the familar setting of the club, eyes glancing over to you as the door shuts behind.
"My head spins, I’m pressed against the wall, just watching your every move. You’re way too cool, and you’re coming this way, coming this way."
You smirk, eyes locking with a pair of blue ones, the club lights shadowing their owners features as you make your way towards his taller staure. His eyes follow your every move almost, watching the way your hips move in your skin tight jeans, his name's Luke. You've seen him here before, mainly sat at the bar, drinking what he could.
"How did we end up talking in the first place, you said you like my Cobain shirt."
"Nice shirt," you smirk cooly, eyes ranking over his body as you finally reach him. He looks down at you, "it'd look better off though, to be honest." You wink, watching him chuckle.
"Yeah?" He asks you, running his hand through his hair, "I must say I'd have to agree."
"Oh really?" You laugh grabbing his hand, "I'd love to see that, but first, dance with me."
"Now were walking back to your place, you’re telling me how you love that song, about living on a prayer."
It's later now, bar time near its end. The once overly crowded club now only holding a few couples and drunks, two of them being a now, giggling Luke and you.
"Let's get out of here," You giggle, gripping Luke's hand as you work your way toward the exit, "we can go to my place."
"Okay," He smirks, walking out into the night with you, a slight breeze ruffling his hair as you wave down a taxi.
"1234 Birchwood Avenue, please," you give the driver your address, looking over at Luke from the corner of your eye, "and make it quick."
"I’m pretty sure that we’re halfway there. And when I wake up next to you I wonder how, how did we end up here?"
The eary morning light seeps it way into your bedroom, blinding you as you open your eyes. Luke's still peacfully laid out next you, his breaths slow and steady filling as you sit up, ruffling your hair.
"Hm?" A husky voice calls out, confused from your sudden movement, "where am I?"
"What, don't remember last night?" You smirk, watching as he sits up next to you.
"Huh?" He asks, meeting your eyes as a dawn of realization washes over his face, "wait, nevermind." He sighs, rubbing his eyes, "I do."
"Mm," you smile, watching as he casually leans back, looking over at you.
"So what's your name?"
"Next day out everybody thought you were so insane, cause you were so far out of my league. My friends say I should lock you down before you figure me out and you run away, but you don’t and you wont as you kiss me, and you tell me that you’re here to stay."
"They think I need to be careful with you," Luke begins four weeks later, you both sat on his couch, "my friends."
"Hm, why's that?" You begin, already knowing the answer.
'They say they've heard things, like how your nothing but trouble," He tells you, "they tell me you're going to leave me quicker than I can blink."
"Well," you begin, leaning over to kiss his cheek, smiling, "I cannot promise many things, but I do promise you I'm not going anywhere."
"How did we end up talking in the first place, you said you like my Cobain shirt, now were walking back to your place. You’re telling me how you love that song about living on a prayer. I’m pretty sure that we’re halfway there, and when I wake up next to you I wonder how, how did we end up here? Call me lucky ’cause in the end ’m a 6 and she’s a 10. She’s so fit, I’m insecure, but she keeps coming back for more"
It's fall now, the temperature slightly cooler as both you and Luke walk the park; hand in hand.
"It's crazy, " Luke speaks up to you, sitting down on a bench, you folloing suit,"how we ended up here just from a night out in the club."
"It is," you agree, sighing happily, " it really is."
"Yeah," Luke mumbles, smiling over at you, "but I wouldn't change that night for anything in the world."
(How did we end up talking in the first place
You said you like my Cobain shirt
Now were walking back to your place
You’re telling me how you love that song
About living on a prayer
I’m pretty sure that we’re halfway there
And when I wake up next to you I wonder how
How did we end up here?)
The End.
