"Okay, let's get real. This looks nothing like a Newtons Cradle." You sigh, eyes wandering around the horribly put together Science project you and your partner, Luke managed to make.
"It's not that bad!" He says positively, just as one of the golf balls that was strung to your makeshift pole falls ironically.
"Oh, yeah," you sigh sarcastically, "not bad at all! Perfect mark project right there folks!"
"Alright, smart ass," He huffs, leaning over to poke your arm, "if it's that bad we can just redo it tomorrow!"
"Thank god to that," you agree, "I was not about to turn that in!" You tell him, reaching down to start collecting it and its falling pieces.
"Here I'll help," Luke offers, leaning down to grab the fallen golf ball from the living room floor. Resulting in a full on collision with your head.
"Sweet baby Jesus!" You curse, pulling up quickly.
"Oh god, I'm so sorry!" He sympathies to you, hands reaching out to your clearly in pain figure to cup your head. "Do you need an icepack?"
"No, no it's fine," you ensure him, meeting his bright blue eyes, "I promise."
"You sure?"
"Yes..." You mutter, eyes still locked onto his as he searches your face for any sight of pain, you both subconsciously moving closer and closer, resulting into a collision of not heads, but lips this time. Though the kiss itself didn't last long it was just the right amount of time for you. Short and sweet you could say, but of course with the fact that both you were a little shy it made an almost awkward situation after you two broke apart, both blushing.
"T-tomorrow then?" Luke asks, rubbing his neck as you finally regain the courage to meet his eyes once more.
"Yeah, tomorrow."
