Naledi
I had never been so angry in a long time, neither have I been so disrespected. I had to deal with shitty teachers and a stupid scarf wrapped around my neck to hide my bruised neck the whole day, and that put me in an instant sour mood.
I sat down with a loud huff, it was still break so I had the chance to join my friends for lunch.
"Sweetie, you look like shit." Johan observed."Yeah and what's with the scarf?" Jess chorused.
"Can we not talk about me." I said as I took out an apple from my bag.
"So what did the witch say?" Johan has never liked Juffrou Grobler that's why he didn't even take her subject.
"She said I didn't deserve the 10%." I could feel my anger resurfacing again as I took a large bite out of my apple trying to deflect my anger.
"So are you going to tell the Headmaster?" Jess said as she moved the bit of brown hair that kept getting in her face. We were sitting outside on the school picnic bench, it was slightly windy outside but the sun was still shining.
"Even if she did, he would still do nothing about it." Johan was right I've complained several times about unfair treatment but all my complaints fell onto deaf ears.
"So what are you going to do?" Jesse asked as she put her sandwich down to tie her long brown hair into a ponytail, I guess she's tired of eating sandwich hair.
"You would think they would take good care of their poster child, but no they treat me like shit." It's true I was the school poster child, I was the black kid they had selected in order to add a different shade to this prestigious school. They gave me a scholarship and in return I made them look good with my academics, sports and debating. Sometimes I even had to do interviews or write letters and give speeches about how 'good' the school is to me. But that didn't mean they treated me fairly.
"Honestly speaking I think I'm going to send my papers to the department of education." I confessed."Dream on girl, you know the Headmaster will flip if he ever hears that you're getting the department involved." Johan was right. The school didn't like getting the department involved, even if it was a private school they still had to adhere to the departments rules.
"Guys I'm already feeling depressed can we just not." I was tired of talking about my issues because talking didn't help the situation.
As if my day couldn't get any worse Queen bitch walked over to our table.
"Well, well, well, if it isn't Zuma's child." Andrea drawled."Well, well, well, if it isn't the devil's spawn." This girl had the ability to tick me off by merely breathing within the same vicinity as me.
"Looks like someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed." She said with a smirk on her face.
"Looks like someone wants to wake up in a hospital bed."
"Oh!" She raised her brows at me.
Before she could even continue I raised my hand, "bitch don't even try me, not today or else I'll mow this lawn with your face."
She fake coughed and put her hand over chest, "so unladylike resorting to violence just proving how barbaric you and your kind are."
"And what about your own kind bitch, because I heard they keep your kind locked in cages. I mean I would pat your head and tell you to roll over but I just don't want to catch your flees." Johan stated, giving her a disgusted look. Johan wasn't scared of Andrea, he stood up for me and that's why I loved him. Jess on the other hand was just too sweet to bad mouth anyone even if they deserved it, but I still loved her.
