"Welcome back, Yoyo! " Naledi exclaimed from beside me, while Johan slumped into the picnic bench, next to Jessica who was already sitting next to Pete.

"Don't call me that, you make me seem like those annoying skree, skree kids." Johan said lazily.
"So when did we become a squad?" He said referring to Pete and I who had yet again joined their company.

"Really? " Naledi replied with an eye roll directed at Johan.

We have been hanging out a lot though, but I'm not complaining considering the fact that I'm the one following Naledi like a lost puppy. I'm pretty sure that she's sick of me following her around-but she would have said so if our company really did bother her, she seems to be the type of girl to say what's on her mind.

"What? I am away for less than a week and we already have new members to our little crew." He countered with his shoulders raised.

"Oh please don't act like you don't like the company of certain other people who have suddenly joined our group. " Naledi said her eyes wondering to Pete.

I have noticed over time Johan gets all flustered and tongue tied whenever he's around Pete,or even when he's video chatting his friends and Pete's name comes up. I think he might have a little crush on Pete, and unfortunately for him Pete not only has a girlfriend but is straight.

Johan gapped at her ,his face turning an alarming shade of pink. "Don't! " He chipped his eyes wondering towards me and Pete, telling her that he didn't want us to know.

"Whatever...Fine." Naledi said with smirk, while Jessica giggled at her friends' interaction. Jessica seemed so innocent to me in the beginning, but I've come to notice that she likes to have a bit of fun with her crazy friends.

Pete popped open a can of Pringles and Naledi immediately lunged over the table, and took some out of the cylindrical can. The action was so fast and unexpected it took us all by surprise with Jessica gasping . Naledi sat back down and closed her eyes as she hummed in satisfaction.

"Sure ,you can have some. " Pete said sarcastically.

"Thanks." She said with a sigh, ignoring his clear sarcasm.

"You like Pringles?" I asked, eyeing her face.

"Like is an understatement." Johan answered for her. "She loves them, she's psycho for Pringles. If you ever get her mad, just buy her Pringles and you are automatically forgiven, just like that" And he snapped his fingers.

After munching on the Pringles she wiped her hands on a napkin and fixed the lapels of her blazer. She relaxed back into her seat like nothing happened, it was kind of funny because she's constantly scolding Johan for taking her food without asking and now the tables were turned.

I reached into my bag and took out my can of Pringles. "We bought them at the cafe." I handed them to her.

"No, I'm good." She said clearing her throat. She brushed her afro that was no longer in two bunny tails but an afro again as she eyed the Pringles on the table, she was resisting them, her body had tensed immensely in a comical manner.

"I wonder how long is she going to try and resist." Johan 'whispered' to Jessica and the both looked at her expectantly. She clicked her tongue on the roof of her mouth and clasped her hands on the table, her fingers clearly twitching and aching to get the Pringles. It was truly a funny scene, even Pete stopped eating and focused on her.

I slide the Pringles closer to her hands and she averted her eyes. "I'm not going back to those old habits." She whispered to herself like she was goading herself to resist the urge to even look at the Pringles.
