Chapter 17

Dian

Things between Naledi and I were a lot better, we spoke about what had happened at her birthday party and we both decided that neither one of us is looking for a relationship. Or maybe it's the fact that we couldn't concentrate whenever we were around one another.

Instead of studying we spent a lot of time making out. I enjoyed feeling the curves and smoothness of her body whenever I ran my hands over her luscious body and I couldn't help wanting to do it over and over again.

So now she had to spend more time helping me with my studies and we were two weeks away from the mid-year exams.

Surprisingly I wasn't too nervous about the exams I was feeling a lot more confident and less pressured about them. I guess that's what preparing before hand does to you.

I had planned on asking her to the winter ball. I'm a bit nervous but I'm hoping she'll say yes;especially since she's going to wear that lacy dress. I know she's going to look mouth watering and I didn't want any other guy near her.

Today Johan and Naledi are going to put up the prefect posters for Naledi's campaign and the posters look pretty good.

I for one I am definitely voting for her... I'm not being biased, I just think she deserves to be prefect.

"Oh, Fish is asking for your phone numbers." Naledi says from beside me, as usual we are sitting outside on the picnic benches,but there was a space open where Jessica normally sat. She came to school for a while but for the past three days she's been absent, and Naledi is refusing to tell me why-she says it's not her place.

The air was different today, cold and harsh. But the winds weren't too strong for us to have to take cover inside, but they were strong enough to convince Naledi to tuck her head into my chest and I gladly welcomed her by wrapping my arm her.

"I know, he is basically stalking me on social media. He's following me on Twitter on Instagram on Facebook. And he keeps calling me Cherry." Johan says exasperated.

"Come on, Fish is harmless. The worst he can do is kiss you without your permission."

"You say it like it's not a big deal. I don't like Fish, so please let's stop talking about it."

"Come on. Tell me why you don't like Fish."

"Because, I'm not gay, okay. How can I like Fish if I'm not gay." Johan says a bit too harshly.

" I don't get why you're making such a big deal about this. Fish really does like you. So why don't you tell him how you feel instead of just toying with him." She says getting equally annoyed.

"How'd you... " Johan says looking a bit shocked.

"He showed me the messages. He even asked me some advice on how to answer some of your questions just so he could impress you." I don't think it's a good idea that Naledi should be talking to Johan about this, especially now in front of us-but she doesn't seem to notice.

"Look Naledi stop it okay. I don't know what you think you saw on Fish's phone or whatever. Ek is nie a morfie nie."[I'm not a faggot." Johan says harshly.

"So what you're saying is Fish is a morfie?"

"That's not what I'm saying. Stop putting words in my mouth. I'm interested in someone else."

"We both know that, that someone is not interested and will never be interested so why don't you just forget Pete and move on because you're... " She seemed to have realised the mistake she had made. She had just officially outed Johan.

Pete who had definitely zoned out of the conversation came too with a loud gasp as he put his phone down. "Dude,you're gay? And you like me? But you know I don't... "Pete looked like a deer caught in headlights,because he kept rumbling about nonsense with a flustered face.

He didn't get to finish because Johan stood up and ran.

Naledi stood up and caught up to him before he could get far.

"Johan, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to." She apologizes.

"I fucking told you to stop, but you never listen." He yelled in her face. I had an urge to get Johan away from her,but this wasn't my battle. It was a fight between friends and I was not getting involved.

"Look,calm down."

"Don't you fucking tell me to calm down ！Do you realise what you just did? You fucking outed me to everyone！" He said with clear tears running down his face.

"Look I'm sorry, okay? And it's not like everyone didn't know." She muttered.

"It's not like everyone didn't know?" He mocked. "I don't give a shit,if they knew. It wasn't your place." He sniffled and wiped his tears with the back of his hand.

"I know and I'm sorry."

"You know what,Fuck you Naledi. Fuck you and your invisible throne because as far as I'm concerned you're just as bad as Andrea." Naledi looked offended and judging by all the gasps that resonated in the group everyone was shocked too.

"Come on,you don't mean that. "

"I fucking do. Good luck putting up these posters by yourself. I'm done slaving for you." And he stomped away with tears still running down his face.

"Johan..." Naledi whispered looking heartbroken.

We were all stunned by what had just happened,just silently sitting there trying to process the recent event.

"I didn't mean too." Naledi whispered as she plopped down beside me. Her eyes were glassy and red but she didn't cry,she didn't even sniffle ;all she did was lean on my shoulder.

I wrapped my arm around her and whispered. "I know you didn't mean to out him like that, he'll come around."

Shocker！

It's a short chapter eek！

And just so you know this chapter wasn't a filler, the events that have occurred, play a role in the book.

I'm starting with tests next week so 😕 but that doesn't mean I will stop writing.

I feel so uncomfortable with the short chapter but I've decided that one idea per chapter instead of making them ridiculously long. And I realize there was a lot of dialogue and Dian was not involved but please bare in mind that Dian is pretty much a quiet person.
