Cristiano grinned as he looked at his wife of nine months, he couldn't believe that they were here again; Caleb was nested in his arms as they admired the small bundle that lay in Liliana’s arms.

Evita Alba Ronaldo dos Santos Perez had been born just hours ago and had been conceived the night of the couple’s wedding; Cristiano had been thrilled when he had learnt that they had been expecting a daughter, it made his life complete.

“Baba,” Caleb said making his parents smile at ten months old it was clear that he was going to inherit his mother’s intelligence; Cristiano shift his hold on the couple’s son, as he looked down at his daughter.

“How are you feeling?” the footballer asked as he looked at his wife concerned, the last few months had been difficult for the couple; they hadn’t expected to fall pregnant so soon after they’d had Caleb.

It had been hard on Cristiano having to deal with a young son and a pregnant wife, however somehow he had managed it.

“I’m fine just a little tired,” Liliana said making the footballer nod his head as he sat Caleb down on the bed, so he could sit behind him; he knew that he’d have to take the little boy home and he wouldn’t be to stay with her like last time.

Liliana’s sister, Stephanie, had given birth to a little girl back in November; she had named her Lily Natasha Jones Forbes, it was clear that Stephanie was slowly being to adapt to her life as a mother and full-time girlfriend.

“Do you want to hold her?” Liliana asked making Cristiano look at her and nod his head, a smile forming on his face as he was handed his daughter.

“I can’t believe that she is here,” Cristiano murmured making Liliana smile at him tiredly as she cuddled Caleb carefully to her body; the brunette had no choice but to have a caesarean after complications arose while she was delivering Evita.

Cristiano had been terrified that he was going to lose his wife and daughter on the same day, he hadn’t been able to handle the news that he could lose one or the other when the midwife had told him how serious things were.

“Cris, I’m okay,” Liliana said as she sensed her husband’s train of thoughts, she knew that he had worried about losing her today but she and Evita had been okay.

Cristiano looked at his wife; he offered her a weak smile making her sigh and rest a hand on his arm; her brown eyes searching his for a moment as if showing him that nothing was wrong.

“I know but this morning is just playing over and over in my head,” Cristiano said as he looked down at Evita, with tears in his eyes; he couldn't think about what could have happened today.

“I could have lost you and Evita,” the footballer said making Liliana shake her head before she moved to kiss him, she knew what he was thinking and she couldn't allow him to continue.

“You’ll never lose me… Cris, I love you,” the brunette said making him smile before he kissed her again; he knew that this was all that mattered now, she and Evita were okay and that was what mattered.

Cristiano pulled back as he looked down at his daughter while Liliana held Caleb close to her.

“I love you too,” the Portuguese told her making the brunette smile at him.

The couple knew that they would face challenges in the future but as long as they had one another, that was all that mattered; they had two beautiful children and a marriage that was the envy of most and they were happy.

THE END.
