Namjoon-the stress of being a leader

I was the leader of a group called Daylight. Being a leader was pretty stressful, especially when you write, record and choreograph all your songs without the help of anyone but your group and manager. But as stressful as it was, being the leader was also very rewarding. We were becoming very successful and we had even won a few awards. Nothing was more satisfying than seeing my other members performing their hearts out alongside me.

Anyways, we were preparing for our upcoming album- pastel skies. It was a softer concept than we usually did but in general we were a pretty soft group. Our main dancer, Ji-hu, was arguing with one of our lead dancers, Taeyong about the choreography. Usually Ji-hu, Taeyong and I choreograph songs together but for some reason they just weren't getting along today.
"Your dance doesn't work as well with the music as mine does."
"Yes it does, you're just being closed minded."
It continued like this for a few minutes before I had to step in.
"Alright, that's enough of that. I personally think that there are aspects of both dances that would work really well with the music so why don't just take parts from each and combine them. For example, I really like your part for the chorus, Ji-hu, but I also like your intro part Taeyong. So we can take parts of each and put them together."
I said, trying to resolve the problem. They both looked saddened that not all of their choreography was being used but they nodded in agreement.
"How about you both go to the kitchen and grab yourselves something to eat, all this work must be making you hungry."
They both brightened up at the thought of food and raced to the kitchen.

I sighed. Dae-hyun and Jung-soo walked into my room.
"Hey Y/n. I was thinking, maybe, possibly, could we change some of the line distribution in the song. I think Dae would sound better with some of my lines and he thinks I'd sound better with some of his."
"What? No, we can't change the line distribution now. We've already practiced it this way and changing things now would throw off the way the song flows."
"But-"
"No buts, what I've said is final."
They both sighed and left my room. Maybe I was being too hard on them. The stress was really getting to me. I heard another knock on my door and groaned.
"I swear if you've come back to argue with me-"
I paused as the door opened to reveal my boyfriend.
"Namjoon!"
I jumped up and went to hug him. He smiled and hugged we back.
"What are you doing here? I thought you'd be busy with your comeback."
"I managed to get a couple days off and figured that we could spend some time together."
I sighed.
"I'd love that but I'm super busy with finishing up this album."
He frowned at me.
"You and I both know you're overworking yourself. Let's face it, you clearly haven't been sleeping properly and I'm not even going to ask what your eating has been like. Even if it's only for these next few days, please, take a break with me."
Namjoon looked at me with pleading eyes. I just couldn't say no to him.
"Okay, only if you stay the night."
His mouth formed a smile and he nodded eagerly.
"Yes! Why don't we lay down for a while, maybe you should catch up on some sleep."
I nodded, yawning. I was more tired than I thought.

Namjoon dragged me over to my bed and pulled me into his arms as we both laid down. I sighed.
"How do you deal with it? I mean, I only have to worry about four people, you have to worry about six. Surely that must be more difficult."
He nodded.
"It is difficult but I know that they rely on me to lead them so I try my best to stay level headed."
"That's what I try to do but somehow, everything always seems to overwhelm me. I don't get how you do it."
"You need to learn to balance your health with your work. You overwork yourself and it makes it more difficult to stay level headed."
I nodded, understanding everything he said.
"I don't know what I'd do without you."
"Neither do I."
He pulled me closer, enjoying that for once, we could just relax.
