It wasn't until he saw your body hit the floor that he realised how hard you truly worked.
You were an idol. Though you worked very hard, you never felt it was enough. You danced for over 15 hours a day, only to go to your studio afterwards to record new music. Your fans knew how dedicated you were but never imagined that you would push yourself to the absolute limit just for your music. This includes your boyfriend, Namjoon. He was your number one fan. No one supported you in the same way he did. He was always there and that was something you really appreciated about him.
It was November 5th. You had invited all of BTS to come to your show since it was your last show of your world tour. Fans had been a little concerned about you in the second half of your tour since you had become slightly skinnier and your complexion seemed paler. When you saw your boyfriend backstage, you didn't have much time to talk. You could see the concern in his eyes but insisted you were fine and nothing would stop you from going out on stage.
You were midway through one of the last songs of the night when it happened. You felt dizzy, lightheaded. It wasn't until your world went black that you realised you were in serious trouble. That's when you collapsed.
Namjoon noticed your dancing get sloppier as the song went on. He was more than worried, you were always perfect when it came to dancing. That's when he saw your body hit the floor. He ran out on stage, not caring about everyone watching. Your manager had run out from the other side of the stage and Namjoon picked you up, carrying you to where the onsite medical assistants were. All shows had them since crowds could get pretty wild.
Namjoon paced around the bed you were placed on. By this time, everyone had left to go home apart from the onsite nurse treating you, bts and your manager. Your manager spoke up.
"Do you know what caused this?"
"He's clearly overworked himself. I doubt he's eaten in days and he certainly hasn't slept more than an hour in the past few days. I suggest that you get him something to eat and tell him to rest for the next week or so. It is crucial that he doesn't do too much physical activity."
Your manager nodded. Namjoon looked over to him.
"Did you know about this?"
It was clear he was angry.
"I didn't. Y/n always said he was resting and eating well. You know him, he doesn't say when he's struggling."
Namjoon sighed before looking over to you. When you eventually woke up, he was right by your side. Him and the others had brought you home where Namjoon had laid you in bed.
"Y/n! You're awake. Please don't ever do that again. You had us all so worried and-"
You cut him off.
"What happened? Did I, pass out? Oh god! I didn't even finish the show!"
"Calm down! Your manager released an official statement explaining what happened so you don't have to worry about that. Why didn't you cancel the show, it was clear just by looking at you that you clearly weren't well enough to perform."
You looked down at your lap.
"I didn't want to let anyone down."
"Caring about your health isn't letting anyone down. Please take better care of yourself, I hate seeing you like this."
At this point, Namjin was almost crying. He cared for you more than you could ever imagine and it pained him to see you looking so frail.
"I'll try to take better care of myself from now on."
"Thank you. I'm always here if you need to relax. I'd be an awful boyfriend if I wasn't. I love you more than you'll ever know and I just want you to be healthy and happy."
He pulled you into a hug. You hugged back, feeling safe in his arms. Sure, you struggled with balancing work and rest, but with Namjoon by you, you would be able to find that balance.
