J-hope- A little chunk of hope (gang au, ft stray kids and nct)

Bts are younger in this to match the storyline. This is a looong one so sit back and enjoy (this is over 2000 words oop-)

Y/n was only sixteen when he'd joined Stray Kids. He had been kicked out of his home and was living on the streets, stealing to get by. After attempting to steal money from Bangchan, the Australian realised that Y/n could be useful for their up and coming gang.

Four years had passed since he had joined Stray Kids and Y/n had become a valued member of the group. The gang had become infamous for being one of the toughest groups out there, though their rank was being threatened by a new name on the streets- Bangtan Sonyeondan.

"Why don't we try to work with them? They're obviously pretty powerful and wouldn't it be easier to form an alliance with them instead of causing a gang war?"
Jisung asked, a few members murmuring in agreement.
"But we don't know if they can be trusted. For all we know they could backstab us and all we've worked for would be for nothing."
The other half of the gang agreed with Hyunjin, splitting the ten boys opinions between the two arguments.

Chan had already made up his mind but discussing that with his allies was important.
"We'll be meeting with them tomorrow so we will see if they're trustworthy then. Y/n and Felix, I'll need you to stay behind so I can brief you for a mission you'll be leaving for tomorrow. Everyone else, go get some sleep."

Felix, Y/n and Chan were left alone, the air around them tense.
"I'm sure you both know what you're here for."
The other Australian nodded.
"It's about Nct, isn't it?"
"Yes, they've been trying to take back part of district nine and it needs to stop. From what I know, it's only a couple of their members that are causing problems. Don't kill them, just scare them off. Do what you can to get them to back off but as I said, do not kill them. The last thing we need is to start a gang war with them."
Y/n sighed, having dealt with Nct in the past.
"Do we know which members we're dealing with?"
"Mark and Johnny. Like I said, it's only a couple of them but they're causing a lot of trouble."
A groan left Y/n's lips, remembering a previous encounter with the latter of the two gang members.

The boys were dismissed, quickly going to their rooms to get sleep. Nct were difficult to say the least. They seemed to have many members, though no one ever really remembered how many. Dealing with Nct was like dealing with a bug infestation, you have to get rid of them all or else they'll keep coming back.

"You ready to head out?"
Felix asked, leaning against the door frame. The day had passed quickly and the two gang members were packing last minute supplies.
"I just need to find my mini med kit, it wasn't in the bathroom and if we don't take it you know damn well it'll be the one time we need it."

As the two went to leave, they saw seven men, around their age, talking with their leader.
"Ah, before you two go, this is BTS. If all goes well, they'll be our allies from now on."
After a small introduction, Y/n and Felix left, heading out to district nine.

The district was quiet, disturbingly quiet. District nine was known for drug deals and small gang activity. Although it was run by Stray Kids, smaller gangs traded goods in the back alleys of the district. As they walked cautiously through the streets, they heard another set of footsteps.
"We were wondering when you'd arrive."
The two spun around, seeing two men-Johnny and Mark.
"Why don't you just make this easy for us and leave? You know we run this district, why start a war with us?"
The shorter of the two men, Mark, laughed.
"Why start a war? To take out the big competition of course."
The bag Y/n was carrying was gently thrown into a nearby alley, keeping it safe for when it might be needed. Felix reaches for the gun attached to his belt.
