Team Aeri [REWRITING]

Chapter Twenty One

Max and I were just walking down the street to heal our Pokemon, along with Flo's two Pokemon that battled back in the forest.

When we got to the Pokemon center, I quickly charged in and handed Nurse Joy Banette, Sparky, Bolt, Flareon, and Torracat.

She gave me a suspicious look and asked, "Why do you have so many different types of Pokemon?"

"Flareon and Torracat are my friend's Pokemon and Sp-Minun and Plusle are wild Pokemon." I explained.

She nodded and apologized, "My bad, sorry." She scooped up the pokeballs, and her assistant Chansey picked up Sparky and Bolt to take them to the back room to get all healed up.

Max sat on a bench and waited for Nurse Joy to return so that he could give her his Pokemon to.

I sat next to him on the bench and awkwardly asked, "How's life?"

He looked up at me and said, "My life is good, but Autumn.. I-I wanna Get something off my chest.."

"What?" I asked, he had an uneasy expression.

"I-I.. m-my dad is- is pa-part of t-Team Aeri." He stuttered quietly so nobody else could hear, "a-and I To,d you b-because you-you're really n-nice and I- I think th-That I can trust you.. and and I- I wanna joi-join to.."

I looked at him dumbfounded, he nervously covered his face, but not all the way so I could see him turning red with embarrassment.

I wanted to investigate more so I asked him, "Why do you want to join?"

"B-because I-I wan-want to be like my d-dad.. he is s-so nice and ge-generous so- so I know Team Aeri isn't f-full of b-bad people."

I actually think I believed him now and whispered in his ear, "I'm already part of Team Aeri." I would tell him I was an admin but I didn't want to go too far.

"R-really?" He stuttered again, a little more hope in his voice.

I nodded, and he smiled, "I-I'm glad you aren't against Team Aeri like most people then."

I now wanted to show him Meowth, but I didn't want to go too far with this transaction.

I was kinda nervous, I had just met this kid, but I think it's okay.. even if we don't get a head start on the police like last time.. me and Flo have our Pokemon to defend us.

There was a little jungle that played and the intercom said, "Autumn, your Pokemon are healed."

I jumped up and went to get all the Pokemon.

I thanked the nurse while Sparky and Bolt happily jumped back onto their spots on my shoulder.

I clipped Banette's pokeball back onto my belt and just held Flareon and Torracat's pokeballs.

Max jumped up and went to the nurse.

"I'm Max, these are my Pokemon, can you heal them?" He asked, rolling the pokeballs towards Nurse Joy.

"Of course!" She smiled, taking Max's Pokemon to the backroom like she had with mine.

Chansey stayed up front since it had nothing to do. It just stood at the counter and looked professional.

Flo came bounding into the Pokemon center and hollered, "Got them!" Startling all the people in the lobby from her sudden entrance and scream.

"Cool! What time does the boat get here?" I asked, reaching out and giving Flo both of her pokeballs.

She snatched the pokeballs from my hands and clipped them onto her pokebelt while answering my question, " 3 P.M. and before you need to check your Poketech, it's already 1:47 P.M."
