Chapter Twenty Five

*BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEEEEP....... BEE-* I slapped my hand down on my Poketech like an alarm clock to stop the beeping.

I made snooze and then actually turned it off and checked the time. The alarm had woken me up just on time, 6:35 A.M.

I put my Poketech away and sat up in my sleeping bag. It was the day that we would go to the government building. My heart pumped faster at the thought of that.

Meowth has woken up due to the alarm clock ringing, but somehow my other 3 slept right through it.

I groggily rubbed my eyes, Meowth did the same, and I began rolling up my sleeping bag.

Meowth put the fire out, not saying anything because he was probably too tired.

I quickly brushed my hair so that I didn't look like trash for Nurse Joy, and Flo.

"Hey buddy, wanna walk with me until we get to the Pokemon center?" I asked Meowth, yawning as I put my sleeping bag into my travel bag.

Meowth grinned and gave me a thumbs up, still too tired to talk.

I grabbed my other 3 Pokémon's pokeballs and returned them. I clipped the pokeballs back onto my belt and strapped it around my waist.

I put my fake glasses back on while Meowth jumped onto my shoulder. I gave him a quick pat on the head and made my way out of the forest and into the town.

Meowth purred softly, resting on my shoulder as I emerged from the forest and into town.

It was still early, meaning that nobody was really outside at the time, only business people who needed to get to work.

And by business people, I mean the people that worked in the building my friends and I were about to trespass on.

The town didn't have any other jobs this early in the morning, so only the office workers and security for the main government building.

I should probably explain. The reason that me, a kid from Jhoto was ruled by a government in Unova is because the champion is the strongest trainer in the whole world. Whichever region has the strongest champion, is in control of basically all the government. People who worked for the main building had to move away from their home region every time the region's champion wins the yearly event, battling with other champions. Since this year is almost over, we didn't have much time to get here before the annual event, that's why I was sent out so quickly without getting to go home and collect my supplies for the trip.

I turned a corner and started walking down the street that held the Pokemon center.

This town didn't have a gym, so this Pokemon center wasn't as crowded as it would've been. I mean, I don't think anyone would be challenging a gym this early, heck I don't think gyms even open until 7.

The Pokemon center's automatic doors opened revealing the lobby inside.

Instead of the usual nurse, there was a different person at the counter since Nurse Joy doesn't come out until later in the day.

The night-shift Nurse Joy asked me why I was here this early in a usual polite voice.

"Do you know which room Flo is staying in?" I asked, trying my best not to sound tired.

Nurse Joy looked at a piece of paper and turned back to me asking, "Why do you want to know?"

"She's my friend and we need to continue traveling." I told her truthfully.

The nurse was still skeptical, incase I was evil and wanted to murder Flo or something.

"Ok, I'll come with you though." She gave in, I thanked her and the two of us started down the hallway to get Flo.
