Chapter Twenty Seven

              Bolt looked up at me in disappointment, I gave him a little pet on the head.

Flo sat beside me and looked at Sparky. Her eyes filled with sorrow as she saw what had happened.

Bolt ran over to be closer to Sparky, he tried feeling for a heartbeat, hoping it wasn't true, but he gave up and slumped down beside me.

The tears in his tiny eyes started silently rolling down his cheeks, I was stunned, I had never thought that such an innocent Pokemon would be killed.

Max sat down next to his sister, not knowing what was wrong.

"I-I'll call the p-police.." Max started, I could tell by the tone of his voice that he was terrified.

He shakily brought his Poketech out of his bag and dialed the number for the police to come.

I heard low whispers in the corner of the room from Max as he spoke to the police officers. I remained motionless with Sparky in my arms.

My mind wasn't working, but my legs took initiative and stood up, I slowly began walking towards the door.

Bolt followed behind me, he didn't climb up on my shoulder, the Pokemon just walked next to me staring at the ground.

Flo came out of the room too, she had Max with her, the two of them slowly walked behind me.

I walked down the solid white hallway and into the elevator without saying a word.

Max hung up the phone and took a picture of the room number Mason was in to show to the cops. Probably so that they could find Mason easily.

The elevator ride was filled with sorrow as we slowly digressed to the bottom of the building.

The elevator opened in the lobby, all of us scurried out of the building and awaited the police to arrive. Luckily, the police station wasn't that far away from here, so they arrived 3 minutes after we exited the building.

Max showed the head officer the room number that Mason was in, as well as the room we had entered in the first place for the other guy.

The cops nodded and went into the building, a different guy went to get Nurse Joy for the Pokemon, and to heal us to.

A few minutes later, the police officers came out with Mason, but I guess it took longer for the chair guy because he came out one minute after Mason.

The two people were put into the police cruisers, they thanked us for some reason, and the police drove away with the boss.

"Max, what are you goin to do now? I mean, you came here for dad, what were you going to do after?" Flo asked, looking at her brother curiously.

"I didn't actually have a follow up plan.. I was traveling because dad wasn't home, but nothing else. I guess.. I'm the leader of Team Aeri now? Or it'll be disbanded.." Max questioned his own logic.

"You don't have to be the leader.." I started, but Max cut me off.

"No it's uh, my grandfather started it.. it's a family business? I guess.." Max didn't sound too sure, but I didn't question him.

"Then I'll be second in command!" Flo piped up, trying to cheer everyone up from the stress, "Autumn can be third!"

"Uh, I don't really want to command anyone.. I'll just be an admin.." I turned down Flo's offer, but she wanted to upgrade my position and wasn't going to take no anytime soon.

"Alright then.. your an elite member!" Flo suggested.

"No.. I'm find being admin.." I stated again.
