Call Me Chase

Chapter 21

Chase's POV:
I woke up at about 3:30. I was home now, i assume my dad carried me home. Next to me on the bed were my keys, jacket, and a folded up paper
"Hey, I didn't want to wake you so I'm just going to write it down. Im not going to be home till late I have stuff to do. Love you babe, from Drew"
I looked at the paper with confusion. Stuff to do? What stuff?
I contemplated what he was doing and another little ball of fear rose in my stomach. Was 'stuff' someone else? Was he sleeping with some random girl or guy because he cant with me?
I shook my head at the thought, he would never do that to me right? As much as i told myself that he probably was at a study group or something, i could get the ball of anxiety out. I looked over at Shadow who was laying on her bed staring at me. And she popped her head up in excitement.
"Hey girly. Wana go for a walk!"
She jumped up in excitement and ran in a few circles before running down stairs to the front door.
I called my dad to see if he wanted me to take the girls. they should be off of school and he has a lot to do.
*on the phone*
Chase: "Hey dad, do you still have lots to do?"
Lucas: "Yeah but dont worry about it hun,I got it"
Chase: "Okay, do you want me to take the girls out for a walk and a little picnic?"
Lucas: "That sounds like a wonderful idea. I'll get them ready"
Chase: "Okay be there in a few"
*hangs up*
I went to the kitchen and packed up a few pb&js and some of the muffins i had made last night, i just felt like more, and i put them into my purse <aka backpack> along with some Coca-Cola, water and cups before walking out i grabbed the baggie of treats and the poop bags that were placed next to the door and put those in my bag too.
After i got that ready I put Shadow's harness on and then her leash. They were both bright red because she was a registered emotional support dog for Drew and I.
Once all that was on we left, much to her approval. When we got to the house the girls were waiting on the porch.
Lili: "Daddy!! Chase is here!!!"
Lucas: *pops his head out the door* "Hey Chase thank you so much for watching these two for awhile"
Chase: "No problem Dad, I want to get to know them more"
Lucas: *to the girls* "Okay you two be good got it?"
Ali&Lili: "Okay"
Chase: "Are either of them allergic to peanuts?"
Lucas: "No but Liliana is allergic to kiwi"
Chase: "okay good to know."
We waved goodbye and started off. We walked over to the park and chose  one of the park tables to sit at. The park was mostly empty so we sat close to the play ground. I pulled out the food and drinks and tied Shadow to the bench. She laid down in the grass and i gave her a couple of treats. 
We started eating and i braced myself for the kids to ask questions because thats what kids do. Including these ones.
Ali: "Chase, how come youre pregnant"
Chase: "Because i was being bad with a boy and I wasn't safe so he put babies in me"
Ali: "But i thought only girls can get pregnant. Daddy said youre a boy"
Chase: "Okay I'm going to explain it to you but you gotta pay attention so you can understand. Okay"
Ali&Lilli: "okay"
Chase: "So when daddy and my mommy made me, they made a girl by accident. But when i started getting bigger something didn't feel right. And so i wanted to know what was wrong. One day i was talking to a big kid that was a lot older than me and she told me that she felt just like me. Except backwards. She was born a boy instead of a girl. She told me that we are both this thing called transgender. Which means that we were born with the wrong bodies."
Lilli: "So daddy and your mommy made an owie so even though youre a boy you can do girl things!"
Chase: "Exactly. But not everyone in the world understands that. So you cant tell people okay? That part is up to me"
Ali: "Okay"
After we finished eating the girls went to play and i walked around the park as close to the play ground as possible without taking Shadow in the sand. Then, i stopped dead in my tracks. I couldnt believe who I saw..
