Call Me Chase

Chapter 16

Chase's POV:

I closed the nursery door and walked downstairs. Drew had just walked in.
Drew: "hey babe, let me wash up and we are going to head out"
Chase: "okay ill wait down here"
i smiled at him and sat on the sofa. After a few minutes Drew came down the stairs and we were both ready to go. By the time we got to the BK is was about 4:30. We decided to share and got 1 cup with two scoops of Rocky Road and we sat down to eat.
Drew: "so we need two more names since we are having twins. Any ideas??"
Chase: "actually i do! So for girls i like the names Luna Raine and Aspen Lynn. And for boys i like Ashton James and Kaiden Gray."
Drew: "I love them. In three weeks we get to find out what names we get to pick. Which ones are your favorite if we have one of each??"
Chase: "Aspen and Ashston"
Drew smiled at me and nodded
Drew: "Me too"
We finished our icecream and decided it was time to go. It was about 5:25 Drew said his mom was already there. They didnt tell me what resturant we were going to so i got to be surprised. We got in the car and made it to the road by 5:30. In the car i kept trying to guess what resturant we were going to, but Drew wouldnt tell me. At about 5:55 i was confused because i didnt know where we were going. We hardly came out this way.
Chase: "Drew are you lost?? Is there even resturants out here??"
Drew: "Okay so heres the thing. We arent going out to eat"
Chase: "what do you mean!"
Drew: "I can't tell you! We're almost there dont worry."
After about 7 minutes we pulled up to a cute little farm house. I saw Sofia's car in the driveway so i knew we weren't in the wrong place. Drew hurried out of the car to open my door for me and helped me out. I giggled at him and stepped out of the car.
Chase: "who's house is this?"
Drew: "Well we dont know her personally, one of my mom's coworkers put us in contact with her."
Chase: "So why are we here?"
Drew: "Just wait"
He smiled at me and took my hand as he guided me to the door. He knocked and  the door was answered by a woman who appeared to be in her late 20s.
Kasey (the woman) :"Aw! You two must be Chase and Drew so nice to meet you! Im Kasey! Sofia has been telling me about you two. Come in come in your surprise is waiting Chase"
I was surprised as she took my hand and guided me to the living room where Sofia was waiting. I was very confused.
Sofia: "Okay Chase, you have to choose between a few things. But your options are in the next room. You two follow us. Chase close your eyes let Drew guide you"
I was still super confused but i closed my eyes and allowed Drew to guide me in the direction of this said surprise. They opened the door and when everyone was inside they closed it. I felt Drew let go of my hand and waited to open my eyes.
Sofia: "Okay open your eyes!!"
I opened my eyes to see 3 small husky puppies sitting in a blue laundry basket. Two were white and brown and the third was solid white.  Immediately i fell to my knees and called them over. Drew made a dirty joke about it but i played with the dogs as everyone else laughed.
Kasey: "So all three of these little beans is a girl. We havent named any of them so you get too"
Sofia: "We can only get one though okay Chase?"
Chase: "okay"
Drew: "so which of these little girls are we taking home?"
I contemplated for a moment and the solid white one came and sat in my lap.
Chase: "This one. Can i adopt this one??"
Kasey: "Of course!"
Sofia smiled and i hugged the puppy as it licked my face. I was so excited i started crying but i hadnt noticed. We all thanked Kasey and Sofia gave her some money. Before getting into the car i gave Sofia a hug and a big thank you. She was heading home but me and Drew were heading to PetSmart to get puppy essentials like bowls, food, toys, and a bed. According to Kasey the puppies were potty trained but we wanted to get puppy pads and an indoor grass patch anyway. I was so excited.

I decided to name the puppy Shadow because i thought it was ironic. As i was waiting for the info for the tag to print from the machine thats placed inside PetSmart. I got a text from Sofia.

"Chase someone came to visit you. Hurry home"
