Call Me Chase

Chapter 32

Chase's POV:

We got to the hospital pretty quick and I wasnt sure if it was because we lived close by or because my dad was speeding.
My dad dropped me and Drew off in the front of the hospital and him and my mom went to find parking. We signed in luckily it didnt take more than 15 minutes for them to call me in. Only one person was allowed in with me and so I had Drew go with me. I wanted him there by my side more than anything.
The doctor checked everything out and told me that I was having "Braxton Hicks" which is just a fancy way of saying that my body was having practice contractions to prepare me for actual labor. The doctor signed release forms and let us go home. I explained everything to my parents in the car.
We got there and went inside, Sofia and the girls were watching a Christmas movie on the couch. We all decided to join them as I explained the situation to her. After everything had settled we all rested and watched Christmas movies. The kids were sent to bed at 10 and I fell asleep not long after in the middle of some cliché Hallmark movie.
I was woken up at 12:15 am by Drew, who informed me that it was time to open presents. I smiled and sat up. The girls were already downstairs with bright eyes. We spent about an hour opening presents and when it had been proclaimed that the last one had been opened Drew got up from beside me.
Drew: "Actually. I have one more for Chase."
I looked at him curiously and he put one hand in his pocket. I noticed my dad pulling out his phone and pointing it towards us but didnt think much of it.
Drew: "Chase, I know that you have had your doubts with me since we found out that we were starting an unplanned family. I know that you think I'm going to change my mind after theyre born but I promise you I'm not. I have known you for 9 years and I have loved you 8."
Everyone in the living room let out an "aww" in synch and I felt my tears start to water.
Drew: "For the rest of our lives we are going to be connected through these twins. But I want to have more ties you than those formed through our kids."
Drew kneeled down in front of my and I gasped immediately clapping my hand to my mouth.
He pulled a small velvet box out of his pocket and held it closed in his hand.
Drew: "I want you to be in my life until the day I die. Till death do us part.."
He opened the box to reveal the most beautiful diamond ring. And i started crying, the worlds biggest grin on my face.
Drew:"I know we're doing this in the wrong order, but Chase, I love you with all of my being, will you do me the honors of becoming my wife?"
I squealed in excitement immediately throwing my arms around him kissing him.
Chase: "Absolutely!"
Our family cheered as Drew slid the ring onto my finger.
We sent the kids back to bed and the rest of us cleaned up the mess of torn up wrapping paper. When we had declared that we were done for the night. Sofia bid us farewell and head out. My mom decided to sleep over and ended up sharing a room with my dad. And Drew and I went to bed the same way as we have the past few weeks, except this time we did it as newly engaged.
"Hey Drew?"
"Hmm?"
"I love you"
"I love you too"
"Goodnight"
"Goodnight love"
