Chapter 23

*time jump by a few hours*
Chase's POV:
My dad met us at the hospital. They gave me a pain medicine that was safe to have while i was pregnant. My dad was out in the lobby with the girls. Him and Drew were taking shifts for watching them. Me and Drew haven't talked about the argument that occurred. We were more worried about the twins. The door clicked open and Drew immediately stood up. The doctor walked in with a soft expression
Drew: "Is everything okay? What happened "
Chase: "Babe let him talk"
Doctor: "Everything is alright, the pain was a flare up was a result of stress"
I felt Drew tense up as the doctor said that.
Doctor: "Everything is going to be fine but im going to have you stay on bed rest for two weeks so no leaving the house or moving around a lot"
Drew: "but we find out the genders next week.."
Doctor: "Actually if youd like we can let you know today. They showed when we took the ultrasound."
Drew looked at me to get approval
Chase: "Can you put it on paper and in an envelope? So we can find out with the rest of our family"
The doctor nodded and went out to get it and the release papers.
Drew: "Im sorry this is my fault"
Chase: "No its not"
Drew: "Yes it is. If i just told you what i was doing you wouldnt have been stressed or worried"
Chase: "Hey no, stop. You cant blame yourself. You didn't know"
Drew: "I love you"
Chase: "I love you too babe."
Drew: "Do you want to know"
Chase: "please"
Drew: "I started baby sitting. My mom is low on cash and we didnt want to say anything because we didnt want to stress you out but well we flopped"
Chase: "Why were you home so late?"
Drew: "The kids parents drove out super far to go to a fancy event but on the way home got in a minor accident. Just clipped someone, everyone is okay but they got stuck for a little while"
Chase: "Im sorry babe"
Drew: "For what?? You didnt do anything"
Chase: "For assuming you were cheating on me it was wrong"
Drew: "Hey it was my own fault. Ive given you reason too and I was acting shady."
Chase: "I love you"
Drew: "I love you too"
He kissed me and i pulled away quickly.
Drew: "Whats wrong? Are you okay?"
I smiled at him and the doctor came in
Chase: "The baby just kicked. One of them kicked"
Drew celebrated and the doctor reminded me i needed to be calm. So i did. We signed all the release forms and i was taken to the car in a wheel chair. In my hand i had the answer to a long awaited quesion.
What gender is my baby. I held the paper to my chest and smiled. We finally got to give the little guys their names. Me and Drew drove home happily with nothing but the sound of the radio coming through. I smiled at him from the passenger side. Giggling as I watched him avoid all of the potholes.
When we got home he carried me inside and to bed. I put the paper with babys' genders inside of my nightstand. And went to sleep. Tomorrow everyone would be home and we would find out.
